I remember back in the early 70’s there was a shape of tie called ‘the kipper tie’ I suppose it was the fashion in the 70’s - my late father would wear them. He also back in the 50’s and 60’s would wear ties using the ‘Windsor knot’ 👍 👍 ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿😍😍😀😀

The old saying to dress for the job you want, not the one you have is true. People visiting my department always assumed I was the boss because I preferred to wear a suit when my boss liked to dress business casual most of the time. The problem with always wearing suits is you do tend to buy more ties than are necessary. 😜

I simply don't understand people who skip the tie. It's a means of embracing pattern, material and colour into your wardrobe. By wearing a different tie you can wear the same suit, but it looks different every time. Even if you don''t have the money: one visit to the thrift store yields so many ties at very affordable prices.
