Interesting video. My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

Jordan is absolutely right when he says “ someone to contend with”. Genesis 2:18. Help meet- does not mean quiet little submissive homemaker- (ננד-neged) literally means in front, counterpart, over against, before. From the root word nagad -to boldly stand out opposite, to expose predict explain and so forth. Conclusion: A wife is to stand with her husband when he’s walking upright and doing right- and she is to be the first one step in front and against him when he’s not.

The Bible teaches that a wife should be of gentle and quiet spirit and a woman who fears the Lord. Proverbs 31
@toodee2d
@toodee2d Ай бұрын
You have not read proverbs 31 correctly. The Hebrew word for virtuous is not at all talking about a gentle quiet spirit. {Chayil -a force, whether of men-means or other resources; an army, wealth, virtue, valor, strength: - able, activity, (+) army, band of men (soldiers), company, (great) forces, goods, host, might, power, riches, strength, strong, substance, train, (+) valiant (-ly), valour, virtuous (-ly), war, worthy (-ily).} In fact the word chayil also used for armies. And is used to describe ‘MEN’ as men of valor or Warriors. Not at all in reference to women Jordan is absolutely right when he says “ someone to contend with”. And the proof is the in Genesis 2:18. Help meet- does not mean quiet little homemaker- (ננד-neged) literally means in front, counterpart, over against, before. From the root word nagad -to boldly stand out opposite, to expose predict explain and so forth. Conclusion: A wife is to stand with her husband when he’s walking upright and doing right- and she is to be the first one step in front and against him when he’s not. Also- everything about the proverbs 31 woman following that opening statement concerning virtue is about how she runs her house, puts it in order, arranges duties, buys land and makes business transactions. Of course a wife should respect her husband. He should also respect her. The two should live together in peace, and there should be balance in the relationship. Look at all the bold women in the Bible who stood up when the man was wrong- look at Abigail and Nebal- his name literally means “stupid” you can read the whole story yourself… he refused to honor David and she quickly packed up a tribute and met David and bow down his feet. And what about Jael-she saved Israel! Men always believe that they want a proverbs 31 woman but never take time to study exactly what one truly is. However, it’s time women started demanding a Job 31 husband!! Eyes that don’t wander, walks upright, deals honestly and fairly, always aware that everything he does is seen by God and every deed will be weighed in the balances to see if he was truly productive and righteous.

I want peace. I contend with enough things at work everyday. I want a wife who is self-sufficient in most ways. I'm not here to make my wife's life easier. I'm here to take shared responsibility of the kids, and of matters of the home we share. I want a wife who trusts me rather than fights with me, but of course, I wouldn't expect her to trust unless I personally deliver success consistently. So I carry that burden. I need to prove that my decision-making is solid. A man doesn't want a wife who is a child. A wife doesn't want a man who is a child. It really goes both ways. When a man is leading successfully and a woman is cooperating pleasantly, I consider it to be perfect synergy.

@@dandelionessxoxo He talks of wanting a wife, rather than being a husband. Such a difference. I am so happy about the lonely male epidemic, it means women are no longer settling for less, saying NO to being treated as second-class humans. Now it is men who realize they need to step up, but they won't...they prefer to be lonely. Women's singleness is a choice, men aren't
@UnAnonKnown

You hit the nail on the head. You can’t ask a woman to follow you unless you have a fantastic history of delivering. Too many men put the cart before the horse. Even then though, I’d suggest that debating with you and contending with you isn’t always fighting. Everyone brings something to the table. No one is perfect. She may have insight and experience you don’t and if she doesn’t argue with you, you’ll never receive it. Even if you end up convincing her of your way, the process of debating may sharpen and solidify your current plan in your mind. But these “fights” should be done respectfully.

@@CitySlickerBallKickerOh please. I'll grant you there are plenty of loser guys, but look at your side too. Every 6 thinks that they don't have to settle for less, which means they think they deserve a 10, or a 9 if they are really slumming it. Turns out the guy 10s aren't interested in lady 6's. That's when the women decide they need singleness because they refuse to date the male 6's they deserve. One other thing - guys don't give a shit about a woman's career, which means all the girl-bossing is meant for other girls, rather than the supposed patriarchy. We aren't intimidated but we aren't impressed either.

Unconditional love is -> with boundaries, with your own relationship with God that you share easily with one another. Asking each other for support & prayer & help in struggles by listening & giving honest but gentle feedback. Sometimes we are human & have deep sorrows & or hurts or angers. Or we just cannot see the others point of view. Gods help in giving us patience & wisdom is as we pray for insite is the only way thru it & it always effects the partner for the good.

Speak for yourself on this one. Would have loved someone to loyally adore and cherish my current form. And then after that support me on my journey to the next level. But this concept of someone that isn't satisfied with the present and is always looking for the next. Nope that doesn't make me more attached, just makes me think that when I get to that next level I will be thinking about how little support you gave me to get there and how your love was conditional on me getting here.

I think this is more about finding the balance. If your wife respects and loves you she will do he best to embody these ideas. Love support and be kind, but when you need to speak up to help your partner see certain ways, don't keep your mouth shut. Come to him with thoughtfulness and love, because he probably won't want to hear how he can grow. But then lay out the issue, with examples and maybe even a solution or two. Regardless, whatever it is has to be talked about. It has to be attended to, or resentment and bitterness will build. My husband and I do this all the time. And sometimes it SUCKS to hear how we are falling short, but it's empowering because we realize we can fix it. He and I constantly reflect to one another what ways we need to move forward in, so the relationship with eachother and ourselves don't grow stagnant. It's so hard to love someone who doesn't love themselves. And if they stay a young, uneducated version of themselves the whole relationship, the partner will outgrow them. I hope you find your other half one day, and I hope you've prepared yourself to be what they deserve too.❤

My wife causes all the arguments and problems in our relationship, then she blames me for them.. I can’t take it anymore, and she wonders why I don’t want to talk to her . I can’t get three words out and she’s all over me, and half the time, it’s about something that happened years ago. I’m at the point where I just tell her to shut up and leave me alone. I’ll tell her , be nice to me and maybe we can get along. She agrees, and within a minute, she’s back at it, I don’t now why, as I pay for everything,and treat her well. We do get along at times , but less than we don’t. We’re in our late 60s . Some people get lucky, .

We don’t have to wonder, God explained it from the start: Husbands should love and protect their wives, and wives should respect and support their husbands. That’s all there is to it. People get confused and scared end up ruining their lives because they try to do their own thing, but it never works.

I believe people get comfortable, or they simply don't make their spouse a priority. Wives don't support husbands, husbands don't truly love their wives. You can read the Bible all day long but if you don't practice what you read, you are truly wasting time.

This is a dangerous opinion/philosophy. He basically claims that a good wife is more invested in who you could be rather than who you are. This is great when the husband is motivated and has high ambitions and the wife supports that and his aspirations of what he could be. The issues arise when she enters into a marriage loving an idea of what the husband could be or what she wants him to be. Now his job is to live up to her idea of who he should be, and was never truly loved for who he is, and may never fully reach her moving goal post, and consequently, he will never receive genuine love from his wife.

Hi, I just wanted to respond as polite as I can because you seemed misinterpreted the entire point of the video. I think what the speaker is trying to say is, a good wife who loves you... But not the kind of love to the point that she'll tolerate your stagnant self where you're stuck in present and does not have vision for the future. A good wife won't tolerate that, a good wife will love you in a way you'll also love yourself, and loving yourself is correlated to wanting to improve whether it is small or big improvement. Because time moves, we age older, and society and the current of life is also moving forward... A good wife will motivate her husband to move forward as well. That is the point. Btw, I really appreciate your sharing of opinion. I hope you're enlightened by my response. God bless😊

Intuitions and dreams lead to delusions. Discussions pertaining to life altering issues are best lead by good men because they can make good decisions regardless of emotional ties. If is up to the woman to submit to the will of the man just as the church submits to the will of the Lord. Other examples can be given but in America this one is main stream.

Especially in the Rough times. If you don't feel like you are heard than remain quiet, he will ask believe me. When you answer him or her starts with I feel like sentences not ever blaming him. It takes the pressure off of him and onto the problem to be solved.
