Flow is 100% of the determining factor for me. All my anemones are either bubble tip or stringy depending on how close they move to the power heads. All same lighting conditions. Too much flow is stringy and less flow is bubbles tip

I will add my two cents... in my mixed tank, I have half bubble and half stringy. They all came from a single specimen, and they are all in the same water, and they all hang out very similar light with in a few inches of eachother. The one major variable in my tank is flow. The ones that get stringy are the ones in the high flow. The one with the best bubbles is the one that is really hunkering down in a rock and away from the stonger flow.

I concur. I have about 25 or so BTAs. All the ones in high flow are stringy too

same experience. My tank is super high flow and very high par. They went from my 20 gallon with lower flow and bubbled. Now they are stringy

Great video. I have tried so many things to get my nems to bubble. No matter what they never do. Some of the things like changing the lighting and flow just upsets them and they start to walk. Feeding mine definitely does not work they just get monstrous. In my older videos of my previous tank onenof my nems was almost 3 feet across.I have run at higher temperatures and lower. The only time mine bubble a little is if they split and are very small. Once they get to a certain size they get the long tentacles. The good thing though is once mine get settled they do not move unless they are about to split. I guess them staying put is a good trade off.

@saltypops . Thank you so much for your help on lighting. I know it has been a day or so. But I now see a difference in my coral that quick!

Am convinced it flow. I got two rose and one neon green bubble as well. I purposely took the rock where my green moved and put it in bottom corner little to no flow, over night bubbled up. 1week later he bubbled on and off but the other two very long and stingy. Am not convinced it flow.

I've had a pair of clowns hosting in my GBTA and it's generations of clones for 20 plus years and I seldom see mine bubble up. Interesting video though and who knows maybe I'll warm up the tank a little.

Hello. I don’t have a blade specific program but this program is available for download and you can adapt it. I have it saved in the files section of the FaceBook group AI Prime/Hydra Reef Group. It is called Salty Pops.

Do you feed your anemone?

Every week or 2, whenever I remember. They get a little bit of PE Mysis. I melt it and just let it fall on top.
