I recently turned 26 and came to the realization that I've wasted a lot of my life/time away and neglected God. In September I started RCIA and I attend every single class and I'm usually the first one there. I hope to be closer with Jesus and find my lifes purpose. I messed up and have sinned a lot in life and can't wait to get baptized Easter vigil. I hope and pray to be a good Catholic Christian one day. God speed to whoever watches this video.

Wow, my eyes are welling up with tears as Father likened it to being a good spouse. Sadly there ARE days where I briefly think “I miss being an ignorant lukewarm Catholic where my only obligation was to “be nice” “ but then I realize I LOVE God and though it is hard to be a Catholic someday, I am in it til the end. I can’t leave Her (the Church). Absolutely beautiful, father, thank you.

Wonderful. I have recently returned to my Catholic faith, daily praying the Rosary and going at least once a week to mass. I love reading reverend Fulton Sheen. I am hoping that Catholicism does not get compromised or watered down by Pope Francis. I am glad that I've found a more traditional mass at a church in the city of Portland, Oregon, where I live.

This is very good and inspiring, , but I would like some clarification about something . What do people do when they want to get married and have a family? Isn't a husband to provide a home ? is it a sin to own a home? What do older people do when they have health issues, financial demands for health care, and limited incomes? Is it a sin to own a small, modest home fkr security? In. both cases, renting can be more financialy demanding,. as.well as less secure. .If we don't provide for outsleves then we become burdens on otthers. Is basic ownership of car and modest home ok? (we can help otthers by offering soare room.) Thank you.
@gabrielc17795 жыл бұрын
brotherskeeper kenney owning things is not a sin and absolute poverty is not an obligation,but a counsel. However you must not be attached to your things and must use them in a detached way,as a steward and not as an owner,for everything passes

When a sermons begins w/ "St. John Paul II said...." you can click OFF and rest assured you're better off reading what real Saints have said, you know, the Saints who destroyed idols instead of inviting idolaters to pray in Assissi (1986 Assissi event), REAL Saints who told Muslims they need to convert - instead of kissing the koran as JP2 did... etc..
@gabrielc17795 жыл бұрын
Regardless of your opinion on what JP2 did,it's at least imprudent to speak like that of someone who not only was pope but also was canonized by the Church.
@sanctealphonse45105 жыл бұрын
@@gabrielc1779, Mmmm... not really. I think you're more offended by being reminded of what JP2 did than what I said and you decided to passive-aggresively take a swipe at me instead.

@@sanctealphonse4510 trust me I dislike what happened in Asisi just as much as you,but it's really not the best thing we can do to lash out at a legitimate Pope as if he's any street heresiarch. Not even bishops are supposed to speak like that of the pope,let alone a layman
@smokeybirdman5 жыл бұрын
@@gabrielc1779 sorry but I believe that you are wrong. God isn't a respecter of persons Pope or no Pope if he is sinning and disobeying God he is a man, regardless if you call him Pope.
@sanctealphonse45105 жыл бұрын
@@gabrielc1779, speak like what? Which sentence or group of words did you take offense to? I'm curious. As to a layman or Priest being able to address the evil of a Pope or Bishop - you're wrong on that as well as St. Paul's famous 'resisted him to his face because he was to be blamed' illustrates as well as his letter to the Galations in which he warns the Galation faithful that even if they (the Apostles) were to preach another gospel they should be anathematized. The indication of the latter proposition shows they were forseeing some future trouble (like now) and told us how to respond. Part of responding to evil and error is being able to identify it and then address it and warn others of it. Think like the good shepherd and not the hireling who sees no evil and hears no evil.
@dutchmansmine90535 жыл бұрын
John Paul the second is really coping it in the comments. I'd like to point out, there are Popes who had children, while being pope. Just because someone is a pope, doesn't mean he's perfect. Also, saint Augustine did many evil things in his youth. Pope Benedict, who, yes, was a modernist in his youth, changed when he became Pope, and became a warrior for the faith. If he canonized JPII, I'm willing to accept it.
