I know it's important to let babies make a mess for the babies' development and it can lead to food anxiety if you're very anxious about it yourself, but I must admit that I often need to take a deep breath and remind myself to let her do it instead of helping her with everything just to avoid getting messy.... I love seeing you do this approach, he's such a sweet little bean and it's amazing to see him grow and learn! Sending lots of love to your family!! Also can I just say, when his little sock came off during his second breast feeding session! What an incredibly cute little man

Oh Rowan is getting so big. He was just born lord where did the time go. I love how your baby is growing and learning as you teach him. For me I raised 3 young adult children and I read a lot of books to them plus and all other great things down to preparing them fresh food daily. Your on the right path. Since I’m going to be a grandmother in July I watch your KZbin videos on the items you bought him and the Montessori learning items too. I will subscribe to that website to get the information for my daughter baby so we can start

@Matt_Acuna2 жыл бұрын
Rowan absolutely gagged many times during the BLW process. We supervised closely and didn’t ever have to intervene or do CPR. Bread gets very soggy and mushy so it’s generally easy to swallow. We got the placemats from Etsy, but it looks like they’re unavailable now. We don’t even use them anymore. You either clean them or clean the mat and you have to clean the baby’s hands or the mat or they get each other messy and it’s extra work!

@MeganAcuna3 жыл бұрын
We had a big issue with him getting overtired when he was a newborn but ever since we gently sleep trained it’s been a lot easier! One thing that’s been really helpful is switching activities often. Keeps him interested! As long as you pay attention to baby’s sleepy cues and are flexible with the schedule everything will work out! I’m so glad to hear the videos have been helpful. Idk if you'll ever see this, but im a breastfeeding mom and I'm struggling with feeding. Is there any tips? My babygirl gags a lot and it worries me. 🥺
@MeganAcuna2 жыл бұрын
I’m not an expert so check with your doctor or lactation consultant but I would guess that it’s probably a forceful letdown issue! I have the same thing when my babies are really little and some tips that I’ve gotten to help me are to pump for 1 to 2 minutes to get the let down before latching them on and feeding at a reclined angle so gravity is keeping the milk from coming out too fast
@JustJocelyn22 жыл бұрын
@Megan Acuna I should've been more clear, my bad but I was saying like feeding but food not breastfeeding lol. Like how did you get him to not gag and like what did you start with, my daughter is 6 months and I give her puree cause she keeps gagging but idk if I should just give her food and let her practice. I'm like confused on what to do but this video helped a bit. So thank you sm. 😭

Is there a reason why you’re already transitioning to a two nap schedule? I read on the huckleberry blog that they usually aren’t ready till the 8-9 month mark so just wondering and curious!
@MeganAcuna3 жыл бұрын
He was consistently refusing his third nap and since he sleeps in fairly late (7:30-8 usually) it just made the most sense for our schedule to have 3 3 hour wake windows in the day. We heard at 6-7 months it was okay to transition if the baby is refusing that last nap/there’s not enough time for a full wake window before bed with three naps.
@MaliksBoy3 жыл бұрын
@@MeganAcuna I see! Also was wondering because I thought my girl was ready for two naps near the end of 6 months because she just seemed to get tired at the 3 hour Mark but then she reverted back to her regular 3 naps shortly after. Weirdly what’s working for us is she sleeps at 8pm wakes at 7:45 ish and then she’ll go down for the first nap REALLY soon after like an 1 hour or 1 hour and a half. At that point her next nap is a good 2.75 hour wake window! The last one before bed is about 3 hours. If you’re interested the huckleberry blog post talked about stretching the wake window for the last two naps but not completely skipping it yet. Ofc at the end of the day you know him best and he may just not need more sleep!
