When you recover refrigerant from an unit that contains non condensible air, how do you separate the air and the refrigerant? This is my theory... First vacuum the recover tank Second (partial amount) purge the hoses with refrigerant Third recover the refrigerant into the tank using a recovery machine. If I use an recovery machine and a recover tank, wouldn’t the non condensible air enter the tank with the refrigerant?

Yes, you would still gt the noncondensables into the recovery tank. We just build in the cost of a recovery tank exchange in the cost since we will not be able to put another charge in on top of it, thanks
