My mom worked at a pregnancy support center in New Paltz NY a very liberal town back in the 90’s. Literally across the street from PP. I knew what she was doing but listening to this interview makes me even more proud of her for that.

I had an unplanned pregnancy last year and Prestonwood Pregnancy Center has been such a blessing in my life. I don’t know what I would have done without their services, from providing my baby’s first sonogram and proof of pregnancy so i could get insurance, to providing me with clothes and a crib mattress for my little girl that I honestly couldn’t have afforded without them. God is good.

Thank you for this episode. Four years after an unplanned pregnancy with twins I started volunteering in our local pregnancy center and then moved to client service director. Seventy-five percent of our clients were students at our local university. They lacked vision for how to finish school as a mom. Through God’s grace He allowed a ministry to provide free early childhood education and Christian care for young children of parents in school to be born. We still work hand and hand with our local center. We’re just the next step so they can be positioned to care for their children long term and point families to Jesus.

These pregnancy centers don’t take a penny from the women they serve. Think for a moment about just that. I was a volunteer at a pregnancy center for almost a year and, oh boy, the stories of joy, redemption and love are countless!

I am glad there are pregnancy care centers. I have personally seen them try and help at least one friend of mine, and have been able to help one of the pregnancy centers provide grocery store gift cards to families at Christmas. They don’t just help pregnant women.

Fantastic show, Allie! Supporting these places-giving to God-is always worth it, and those who genuinely can't give money at the moment can of course give their prayers, as you said. Great to hear that these mothers are kept in touch with by the center, and well after their babies' births.

My great gramma in the roaring 1920s got pregnant and wanted a back alley abortion. This boy from her family's church was over the moon for her. She FINALLY accepted his invite for a date. A month later they were in love. She told him she was pregnant but was going to "take care of it". Immediately he blackmailed her into marrying him. Either marry me and let me raise the child or I'll ruin you and your family. She could not believe he actually wanted to raise someone else's baby. Well she accepted the marriage proposal and they were happily married till he died. They also had a half dozen more kids. I told that story to a friend of mine contemplating abortion. I omitted names and traced that baby's lineage through his kids, and their kids and finally went through my dad and his 2 boys and adopting my sister and then said and in 1983 he had his 3rd son when i was born. She was confused until i told her the baby that was supposed to be aborted was my grandpa and if his mother would've been able to go to get an abortion i never would've been born, we would never have been friends. Her jaw dropped. And i said i hope she didn't get the abortion cuz it'd kinda be like her killing me and my grandfather, and his kids and grandkids. 12 months later i was at her house holding her new son and she started crying, took a picture and mouthed "thank you" to me. Not gonna lie. It felt good holding that baby.

God gives graces to those who understand his will. As Shepard's for his flock we need to understand that we need not only watch the flock , but protecting the beginning of life for the flock to produce. Going the extra mile without being asked to do so is the true mission and prime example of Gods' Love for his creation. Be bold in the stance against those who have selfish intentions to detour the pure gift of life from existing. Blessings Allie, you are a true inspiration for exposing the true faith for life.

One of my favorite episodes, Allie! Boy you are still pink, I’m so sorry! I used to volunteer at a PRC and they offered so much! They even offered post abortive counseling. They would offer an ultrasound and moms could quickly see that the baby looked far more developed than what the business next door was telling them. The supplies that they gave women seemed to multiply like fish and bread. It was amazing what they could do with a buck.

A total side note here. When she talked about the child getting a shot and trusting the person in the white coat, I shook my head. Even then you should hold some skepticism and do a little more research. I know that's not what this episode is about but I just had to throw that in there.

Matt, As you have seen a veil of deceit over the minds of millions in the last 40 years for abortions, and 30 years of accepting the others peoples lifestyles, and the most recent with "gender fluid" to summarize, you can see how hard satan is working on our minds and hearts. Perhaps your mom was deceived or just lost in a bad situation. I am sure she may have a load of regret, and guilt.

Forgiveness is what Christ our Lord would want. Personally I'd need more info to even make a judgement for how Is go about handling it otherwise. I was discovering my mother is a diagnosable narcissist around the time she told me she had had an abortion. I had just come out as Christian and she was asking me if God would forgive her. I said of course he would if she's truly sorry...this made her angry and she started to say stuff like I was the reason she had to get one, because she needed to take care of me (a toddler). Lol 😆 MB mom....😅 Sorry for existing (once again). JK...but that's how I used to feel and why I was pro abortion for a long time. I was depressed, I didn't want other children to have to go through that. Thankfully I felt more overcome with love greater than my depression when I became unwantingly pregnant. ❤ So I can understand why some might make abortions for reasons that are not careless, and others that do. I believe the Bible says to judge actions not motivations..... So if your mom is guilty of other poor decisions that are harmful that could affect how I feel with abortion the "last straw" and you don't need to be around that, like if she's fighting FOR abortion rights maybe on top of other things and it's too stressful to be around...but if this is a major shock to you and your mom doesn't seem like the type, and etc then comfort her as best you can. Either way, forgiveness. Just saying I my situation it was another action of my mother's that was too negative and it was bad for my health. I don't know your situation. ❤

@ari3lz3pp
@ari3lz3pp Жыл бұрын
When I went to the hospital for the follow-up pregnancy test they asked if I wanted to see the image of the baby (at 11 weeks) and I was confused why they would ask me that. Of course I want to see the baby that's in my body! It didn't occur to me at the time, why they were doing that. In case I wanted to get rid of it. I remember with a fearful tone the nurse told me I "only have" [however long it was at the time] to get an abortion. As if I was running out of time to handle this tragedy. I also thought that was strange. I was pro-choice at that time. So didn't have qualms with abortion in general. But researching medical articles about why it's dangerous to reproductive health made a lot of sense from a scientific standpoint. It's an unnatural procedure. Even life-saving surgeries have risk. I didn't like that the abortion sites always said "low risk" or "no risk" even. It was more for curiosity than anything. I did consider the possibility of IF I were to abort. But the second and third times I looked at my baby- already a distinguishable head, you could tell where arms and legs were to form by the shape. I cried because I HATED my situation, the father, I was in poverty, couldn't find a job ...but I loved my baby. Not all feel this until after delivery I know ..and that's a shame...and some are too sociopathic/narcissistic etc to ever feel that. But anyway.. I am so grateful to God that I was given the courage to keep my baby. I even had family telling me I should get an abortion and shaming me for choosing to keep it when I was so poor. Now my husband (father of child) and I have been married for over a decade and are blessed with our child who is about the same age. ❤ It took work, anything worth having does. In honesty our marriage was on the edge of failure until about 5 years ago, we were about to give up but we're reading the Bible and had accepted Christ's salvation. We decided to serve one another, to serve our family. 🐑🙏🌻✨🩷 I hope anyone considering abortion doesn't fall for the deceptions so frequent in society today. If you're pregnant, you're a parent, you should be parenting your child even if they are not born yet. Strive to be better than your parents. To be strong, to be caring and loving and to show your child you can overcome struggles when it's about more than yourself.

I’m a man, so I don’t worry about getting pregnant. And that says it all. I can enjoy as much sex as I want in a consequence free environment. What could be better? All pleasure and no pain! This is why the patriarchy supports abortion on demand. Why should men have to bear the consequences of women having children and paying for child support? Why should we have to bear any responsibility for the care and upbringing of your little brats? Abortion is all about men’s freedom to be sexually active without consequences. Why would women ever think abortion was about them?

🗳 Pro-choice Republican here (yes, we exist) and this was my take after the recent failed Republican sweep at the 2022 midterm election following the overturning of Roe v. Wade: 🚼 The Republican party underestimated how much voters cared about abortion rights after the overturning Roe v. Wade-which was only a few months ago and still fresh on everybody's minds. ⚖ Whatever you think about abortion, I feel that the Right should have been realistic about its present and its future and used their new upper hand to end the abortion debate once and for all. ☝ If the Republican party had been more farsighted, they should have bitten the bullet and used their new position to cut a deal with the Left to NATIONALLY RESTORE abortion rights, BUT under strict conditions, like this: -Women ONLY have a NEGATIVE right to an elective abortion ie. if a woman wants an abortion, she'll have to pay for it herself (or whatever other PRIVATE means-though I am not precluding an individual state from making it a positive right funded by its taxpayers). -Elective (ie. non-medical) abortions are ONLY allowed in the first twelve-to-fourteen weeks MAXIMUM. -A MINIMUM number of crisis pregnancy centers, per state, to deter abortion seekers. (Though I am not sure if there should be an equal number by state or an equitable number determined by a state's respective population). -FEDERAL funding and protection of ALL crisis pregnancy centers throughout the country. 🐘 After throwing the Left this bone, the Right can now do the following: 1. Criticize the Left as monsters for wanting to expand abortion rights beyond the first trimester while the Right keeps its moral stance. 2. As Abraham Lincoln said, 'you can't fool all of the people all of the time.' Now that the abortion question has been definitively answered, the Democratic Party can't use it as a shield to cover up their mishandling of the economy and the border, and of the rampant violent crime and homelessness in the cities they control. P.S. 👐 For the record, I do NOT blame the Right for their overturning of Roe v. Wade. They won that battle fair and square. 📜 Not only am I a 'safe, legal, and rare' pro-choice moderate who is just as disgusted by the gross sight of some abortion activism like you are, but I also acknowledge that the Left lazily defended Roe, seemingly forever, wasting forty-nine years to pass national legislation, or even a whole amendment, securing abortion rights across the country but politically feared doing so. Now they must suffer the consequences...

lets not forget that we need to refer to a baby as a parents baby its not just her baby lets first talk about marriage this must begin with counseling from a pastor if there is no future in this can there be support from the border family at no point should we as Christians go beyond these options even if as christian can adopt a child from women that can not take care of their child

12th & Delaware! Great documentary though I was in tears. Women were so abused and mistreated in their lives that they couldn't trust the women that genuinely cared about their babies. They thought it was weird. They went straight to the nut job gross people across the street. The ppl running the abortion clinic were obviously unhealthy and creepy, caught in lies, though the documentary seemed to lean twords the side of the abortion clinic actually! But overall very balanced more than most. They mentioned how they doctor wouldn't allow their lives to be endangered and tried to act like he was a victim of the protestors. But it made me think of how many doctors are sociopathic and narcssists and actually will do whenever to get more money. So these poor women are seriously manipulated by the doctors and people saying "trust the doctor-he has a title and a white coat!" Like ...NO. lol Anyone with common sense can see which side if wrong and which is the best choice. But unfortunately many are too emotionally triggered and so strongly biased by others of the same, if not manipulated by people that don't have full human emotions.
