For your chopped sandwich, you could just chop everything and mix it up in a bowl. So much easier than chopping and mixing on a cutting board.

I was looking through an old cookbook of my mom's and I found the sour cream noodle bake recipe. It was almost exactly like the pioneer woman one. It was from 1981. It's called 25 years women of the farm bureau. I thought it was funny. The same recipes just keep circulating year after year. It's new to some people and an old classic to other people.

I’ve been making that recipe since 1979. I was in high school but instead of mixing the cream cheese ,sour creamAnd cottage cheese or ricotta mixture with the noodles we layered it. Put salt on the bottom then half the noodles Then some of the sauce then all the cream cheese mixture. Then the noodles and the rest of the sauce. Then bake it as she did

I cook my london broil in a crockpot just like a chuck roast. The meat is very lean more than a chuck roast. The crockpot makes it very tender and delicious.

London broil is a difficult piece of meat to cook. You either have too cook it super quick or slow and for a long time. I think next time you might try marinating it in a bag overnight and if the piece is large like that cut it in half. Also, when you let it rest, I would rest it for about 15 to 20 minutes, 10 covered and 10 uncovered. I hope this helps. All these dinners looked delicious. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless all! ❤

In the winter, I buy cherry tomatoes instead of Roma or beefsteaks. They are really good, a lot more flavor than off-season tomatoes, which mom are tasteless. They are small so you have to work around it but for something like your chopped sandwich they would work well.

I can’t wait to make the PW noodle bake. You made it look so delicious. Better than in the book! London Broil : Marinade is great but when ready to eat. We get the marinade off. Moist meat doesn’t brown or sear well. Sear it in a skillet or grill. Then finish in the oven. that way you have more even cooking so you won’t have areas that are tender and some areas that are tough same thing with cooking a large sirloin or treat-tip. The meat market I worked at with used to dry sear them then finish in our oven. Or sell them just seared if the customer asked us to. We did beef tenderloins the same way.

My fave cabbage soup recipe is made just like this except it is half kielbasa half ground sausage. The game changer is spicy brown mustard, caraway seed and a couple cans of diced tomatoes. This really kicks up the flavors. I'd say 2 T spicy mustard. The ground sausage adds to the broth and I even add a Tablespoon of Knorrs Chicken and tomato buillion powder. I got this recipe from the original fix it and forget it crockpot cookbook back in 07 and I've made it this way ever since. A family favorite

Really delicious meals 😋 I usually cut the meat really thin, and I heat my beef broth in the crock pot while cutting the meat.then I get a good sear on the one side and I put the seared meat in the heated broth and once it's all coated in the broth I shut off the crockpot and it finishes cooking and ends up cooked through and tender... but we put it on rolls with cheese...but that cut of meat is hard to cook.especially the first time cooking it.i found this way the best for sandwiches 😊 thank you for sharing and hv a great day everybody 💚🤗🤗🤗💛

London broil can take a long marinade. We always stab the heck out of it with a fork (both sides) before marinating in a plastic bag overnight at least. Grilled is our preferred cook method. Rest and cut with the grain BUT the grain can switch in this cut so keep an eye on it while slicing thin.

My mother had a London broil recipe, her meat was tenderized overnight then it was cooked on the grill outside. While it was cooking on the grill outside the remaining marinade was heated to near boil then when the meat was sliced it was cut super thin against the grain and put back into the pan along with the marinade. I remember my mom got the meat on the thinner and wider type kinda like a flank steak. I don’t think the meat was a London broil cut but the dish was called London broil. Flank steak might work better for this to grill it so you get that charcoal smoky flavor.

Everything looks delicious and very “do-able”! I’m going to make the enchiladas for dinner tomorrow night. The cabbage kielbasa soup will probably have to wait a week or so, we are just now polishing off the soup I made from our St. Patrick’s Day corned beef and cabbage leftovers, and as the veggies are a similar combo I’ll make clam chowder or tortilla soup in between. The sandwiches look great, but I’m not a tomato eater (unless they’re cooked), kinda like your avoidance of onions! Everyone else loves them, so I’ll just leave the nasty things out of mine! Thanks again for all the great inspiration!❤️❤️

Those enchiladas looked amazing!! I definitely have to try that especially with that sauce! YUM! As for London Broil, my mom always poked it all over with a fork and then marinated it all day in the regular ole orange French dressing and it turned out great!! The dressing turned into a sauce. I dont think that cut is meant to be cooked for a long period of time.

Haven’t made in ages bc somehow I ended up with a son who doesn’t like cheese or creamy things 💔 I also love soup! Not least bc it’s the best way to get veggies in us. When we made London Broil (which is usually just when it's on sale... or once a month), we marinate it in 1 cup Dry Red Wine (any dry red will do), 1/2 cup Olive Oil, and 2-3 cloves of minced garlic for about 4 hours and then cook it on our George Foreman Grill for about 8 minutes, but can vary on how thick your meat is and how done you like it! Usually, we serve it with a baked potato (we do ours wrapped in foil and cooked at 550 for 90 minutes. You'd think that's too long and hot but it makes the skin crispy and the inside super fluffy and soft!) and some green beans (similar to how you plated it) or cooked carrots! Just in case you ever find it on sale and want to give it another go with a slightly different preparation!

Sear the meat hot and fast to seal in the juices. It doesn't look that seared to me for being under the broiler and that could be from not hot or long enough and if not seared fast, it isn't going to be as tender imo. The air fryer is a great option for pork tenderloins, chops and beef such as this London broil as well. Great variety of meals.
