I grew up in Kentucky and didn't know much about seafood, either, until I moved to the East Coast at age 20. If you have a chance to eat seafood somewhere that's known for it, you may find that you enjoy it. That's what happened to me. :)

I almost always find at least one or more of your recipes from each video to try. They are simple to make and quite good. I'm from Georgia so we like the same things your family seems to like. I also like the fact that you're honest about what you make. For instance, in this video you said you weren't crazy about the way the baked chicken came out. You liked the chicken but the seasoning just didn't work out the way you expected it to. So many folks will rave about how good something is that they made in one of their videos, and I've followed their recipe and did not like it at all. I look forward to your next video!

Great recipes as always. Just a tip that I do with my beans I start my stew of chicken stock seasoning etc first. It helps cut the cooking time for the beans I do the same when making collards etc also I love to have mackerel with my beans collards cornbread and fried tators. Just dice up some onions and cook in butter and add mackerel and let it cook for about 20 minutes (so good). A good chicken marinade and vegetables is lawrys in the bottle from Walmart or wherever you shop. Just some ideas for ya Kristen. Have a wonderful weekend 🤗

Skip the diced tomatoes and spices and just use a jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce for the goulash. That's what we do. 8oz large elbows, 2 cans of tomato soup, 2 cans of water, 15oz spaghetti sauce, chopped bell pepper, chopped white onion, 1lb hamburger meat, and 2 cups of a cheese blend melted on top. No extra ingredients that are hard to say lol
@apriltownsend846315 күн бұрын
@@AlyssaCarter-m1iYou obviously didn't read all of the comment. If you use spaghetti sauce (NOT tomato sauce) in place of the diced tomatoes, it already has the spices in it. Even if you buy the most basic sauce like Prego or Ragu traditional, there's onion and garlic already in it. We buy the chunky but I know she doesn't like actual onion so I didn't suggest it.

Me and my husband love fried potatoes and onions but I can't cook them for the life of me. The potatoes turn to mashed potatoes almost or they get so dark. I need help.
@cynrok18 күн бұрын
once the pan is hot i put the potatoes in, lay the onions on top, turn the heat down to fairly low, cover, and let simmer 10 mins. the steam softens them. then flip the potatoes, put the lid back on, and simmer another 10 mins. then take the lid off, flip again, and bring heat up to medium high to get them brown and crispy. also, salt at each step (3x). fried potatoes are not quick, it always takes 30 mins. looks like kristin does the opposite way--gets them brown on higher heat first, then covers and steams them to get soft. either will work.
