I almost did this at the store. I picked up some notebooks, foolishly and negligently disregarding the size of their rule. On my way to the front counter I casually looked down at the stack of books between my arm and torso, to read the hideous words "wide ruled." I was shocked! devastated! But shortly after that wave of fear was replaced by a beautiful calming sensation of relief, even joy, for I had narrowly avoided a potentially life-damaging mistake. I went home happy that day with college ruled notebooks in hand, and celebrated with a nice 54 degrees fahrenheit glass of white wine. I deserved it.

i always had the same problem with notebooks, so now I use a legal pad and binders. You only have to haul one thing to class then, and because you just tear off the pages and stick them into a binder, you can always insert and move the pages around as needed while revising and what not. Plus, with dividers, you can keep more than one subject in a large binder too

I know that you said you don’t really want an iPad, and I know they are pretty expensive, but I must tell you, as a person who is obssesed with stationary (I mean the amount of diaries that I keep and still rebuying though I barely use them, is insane), I must say it’s a life changing product for every college/university student. Yes it is expensive but it is a one time payment for a product that will literally survive for at least 5 years, and the amount of paper you will save as the amount of money you will save, I really think it’s worth it. Almost all of my uni students are working like that. You have all the information you need within the reach of the hand, no more stressing out wherever you forgot your notes at home or not. I think nowadays every student needs to use it. :)
