Thank you so much for this video. New sub and long time prepper myself and the one thing we are lacking is water prep. Thanks for the info on the 5 gallon jugs for water and dont forget to stock some whole wheat berries to make some bread just in case. Azure standard is who we buy from and they are all organic grains and pricing is pretty fair. Just keep in mind moderation is key if you have diabetic family members when it comes to carbs. Thanks again and god bless.

Unfortunately, water containers are expensive🙄 1 can 23 liters 29 Canadian dollars I have 6 pieces. I will add more💯the only thing that makes me happy is that it’s not a one-time purchase! should last a long time. so it's not wasted money.

Enjoyed your video I live alone in an apartment, but I have a fully stocked pantry, two small freezers and 5 gallon buckets. I also can but my son refuses to do anything so I’m prepared for him and his family is something should happen. Mama will get his back new subscriber.❤🎉

It's nice to hear you have a stocked pantry. We can all learn from each other. My wife has always supported me in my prepping. But when she went through a plant closer and started a new job and waited four weeks to get her first pay check, we just ate out of our pantry and didn't have to shop for food. She got fully involved in prepping, canning, food storage, and freeze dried foods. Our pantry has saved us more than once, life happens sometimes and being prepared is always a good thing.

It is a real change when there is a medical issue. Had to do this for my Dad.

Is there any one thing you would like to know more about? My prepper pantry is changing due to my wife be diagnosed with insulin resistance. I will be doing a video over the changes and why, once we are complete. If you would like to see something special please let me know. I will try my best to make it happen.

I want to say that eggs are a very, very interesting option! Does anyone know that if you eat one egg a day without any other food, you will definitely not die of hunger!
@texastony7411 ай бұрын
I can't easily show my preps (and don't want to) because they are spread out across my house to help protect them from theft, fire, flood, bugs and critters. I don't keep all my eggs in one basket, so to speak. I do not however feel sorry for anyone trying to loot my house. I am very well-versed in home defense and booby traps ;)

It sounds like you are well prepared, and that's a good thing. Your house getting broken into is something to keep in mind for sure.

The main thing is not to stumble upon booby traps... due to drunkenness or sleepiness... or sudden memory loss🙏

I suggest buying long term prep food like Augason Farms freeze dried food. Tomato powder has a 25 year self life and you can make spaghetti sauce, Tomato past, ketchup and barbeque sauce with that one product. Other than that start with Augason farms Butter (#10 Can), Eggs, Milk, Vegetarian Beef Flavored crumble(That's for the Sauce) from there then buy everything else they offer. Always cover the essential's first!

I agree with the freeze dried foods. I do have Augason Farms, Nutrient Survival, Mountain House, and My Patriot Supply. But with that being said you have to store enough water to make all the freeze dried foods. And it takes up a lot of room, I have one years worth of water for three people. Plus what I need for my freeze dried food. If I get more freeze dried food, I am going to have to get more 5 gallon water jugs. Lol Plus our pantry is used daily, freeze dried foods included. All our freeze dried foods have been tried and we only buy the ones we like and use.

Water jugs! Where did you get those? Do you just fill them with tap water?
@terrybattle705310 ай бұрын
I believe we got some of them from The Ready Store. And yes, I filled them with tap water and used ION water treatment drops. It gives water a 5 plus year shelf life. When I ordered the jugs I made sure it came with ION water treatment. I also have a water tester just to make sure when I use them. But we do rotate them out, we take them camping for drinking water and they make washing up dishes easy because of the spigots.

Walmart has these! in Canada the cost of one of these is $25 Canadian😞 20 liters. I have “skinny” 23 liter cans. but I saw in this that thick cans can be placed one on top of the other! maybe I'll add some of these cans too!

Your wife can eat anything but she has to limit her portions on carbohydrates and eat more protein based foods, everyone goes extreme when first starting a diabetic type diet its more about portions on your carbohydrates your breads, pastas, sugars, you could fix a pot of beans you could have cornbread but only one piece instead of two 😂 its limits say once a month eat you a piece of pie lose some weight take walks these are just my opinions but have been a diabetic for years and a retired registered nurse 😊 have found this way of eating can work but extreme diets for diabetes don't you get tired of it start sneaking food I live in Oklahoma and know about the weather wait 5 minutes it will change 😂God bless

Hi, Thank you for this information, I appreciate it!! This is his wife 🙂 I have been measuring out my carbs and honestly, I just try to avoid them when possible. But thank you again, whenever you look up information on a diabetic diet, it gets overwhelming and everyone has something different to say...... I will work on my calorie intake, thanks again. Grace and Blessings to you and yours. 🙂

Try to get as low as we can. My wife has been diagnosed as being insulin resistant. So we are going to have to completely change our pantry. But we normally try to keep a years worth of food in the pantry.
