Zip your TechAir 10 into the liner of the Absolute v2 like it’s designed. Makes a massive difference in staying cool and overall comfort.

Great job lads. This show is brilliant....My first motorcycle was a GSXR 1000 and I almost killed myself. Loved every second of it. 🦜🦜🦜🦜

I ride a ZX7R. So riding a TT prepared bike would be an eye opener no doubt.

I own a 17 and ride it in all road conditions. With the right suspension set up and tires it's fast, comfortable, and very predictable !

It is strange that a motorcycle journalist repeatedly quotes some dyno results, which of course are from completely different dynos, different conditions, different decades and another is just a rumour. Of course they are not comparable. Any adult can understand that that bike is of course much more powerful than the 2003 BSB bike. It's also strange that people don't understand that all bikes today are so efficient, that it's often not the amount of peak power that matters but how it generates power, how you get it to the track. A good example of that is the Revzilla test, where on the track they used in those conditions the K5 Thou was faster than the brand new Ducati Panigale V4S.

Use ability is key on any race bike especially one for the TT, nobody wants to ride a snapping animal ! People who have never raced think race bikes are animals which is rarely the case, I bought an ex TT bike 20 years ago and was surprised how it was set up, so much midrange it had power everywhere - wish I could have a go on this one ! 👍

I remember an interview with John McGuinness he was talking about Nathan Harrison and advice he gave, after looking at Nathans race bike he told him to sit on his TT bike, with wider straighter bars etc. Comfort is an important thing at the TT. Various other stuff too. What works for 20 laps of a short circuit won't work at the TT, even if its fast, you need to be able to stay fast for a long time not just 30 minutes.

Wow,, £ 35,000 for that bike seems like a steal.. personally I think 206bhp is alot but I'm no racer, yes there are faster bikes,, but I also think because bike power has moved on and it's normal for manufacturer's to put out crazy high out puts,, I'm sure it won't be long before the next manufacturer will be wanting to be pushing out 300bhp,, its just a natural evolution of technology. For context I ride a rsv1000 with quoted 130 I think from memory and its good for 160-170 mph,, I haven't found out yet,, I probably never will unless I take it on a track,, and yes obviously people do , but like the team and the journalist said its about how you use the power, , it's fine having ridiculous amounts of power,, but ultimately pointless if the power is that unusable you can't use it all, so do what suzuki did and make a good amount of power,, in a excellent chassis.

Exactly, my k1 gsxr 1000 has all the usable power you could ever need on the road. Plenty of grunt all the way through the rev range, no mad rush of power just more and more and more, you know how much your asking for and it just delivers what you ask. To be honest i think modern 1000s would be better if they were detuned back down to 180 ish bhp, far more usable accessible power and way more than anyone on the road would ever use.

@theant9821 I agree, the average person probably wouldn't need more then 160 anyways to my mind, and manufacturers have gone the other way now for some time by getting better chassis in lower outputs because a 1000cc is too much for today's congested roads, which I believe is correct.

Crank hp. Only Americans use whp, but for some reason American whp is equal to other worlds crank hp.

You do realise the outright lap record is held on super stock not superbike. If you want to know what they feel like power wise buy a standard bike. Because the engine in super stock is standard. Complete standard motor. As for a superbike when you start paying £4000 for things like tiny little lightweight exhaust and intake valves (each) you start to get a pretty pricey bike . And you only gonna be slower , because you’re not Peter Hickman or the type of person with the talent to lap the tt course in 16:02 in only 20 laps practice. Standard bike is too much for you already. So you can’t physically experience what makes a superbike better. You are not talented enough.

you gotta ride the TT bike ON the TT at TOP SPEED for 6 laps to really understand it lol. these are insane fast endurance machines and it's mostly top speed riding. I'd love to do a lap of the TT one day before i die but i doubt I'll ever get that chance❤😂
