As a skateboarder since 1998. The biggest issue I have with session is that there is no proper throwdown animation. Is this something that will be included in the UE 5 update. Seems like an easy fix. Also I work in the gaming industry so without going into much detail your answer can be simple. Lol. Keep it up bro your the best

Personally, I would love to see an online multiplayer option for cross platform play. That way you can play games of SKATE in session w/ friends. Most of my buddies live rather far away so it would be awesome to play online when we cant go outside to skate.

For those that dont know unreal engine 5 has great animation blending and amazing Shaders. so i can say the switch to unreal 5 is huge.

@jaycup10 keep in mind that some of the small banks challenges changed to be correct to the real life trick that was done. -Jeff Peng Switch Hardflip - was changed to just a Heelflip - Jeremy Williams Kickflip was corrected to be Jahmal Williams Bs Heelflip (if Bs heelflip isn’t working, do Bs Kickflip) -there are 2 Chad muska Fs Flips.. one at the 9 set and one on the big bank behind the 10 set. It’s possible you already completed the Fs flip over the 9 set and instead need to do it on the big bank. - everything over the wall should work as long as you are landing in front of the car (don’t go over the car). Also try to pop late off the bank (like just as you get on the flat part of the top)

I've been playing session for 4.5 years with over 1000 hours and I'm really starting to get frustrated with the state of this game. I know it's a small studio with a limited budget but I still had higher hopes for how the state of the game would be at this point. It seems like every update seems to introduce more issues while only making minor fixes in exchange. For example, they broke late flips and late shoves a few updates ago. They still haven't fixed ollie north/south after all this time and manual catch is still in a really funky state (have fun trying to do a nollie tre consistently on manual catch). Grinds/slide were also in a better state a few updates ago. Now it's damn near impossible to do grind/slide combos. Honestly, I think the game was in a better state before/at 1.0 launch than it is now. I'll always love and support this game but it's getting harder to do so.

The best state Session ever was imo was in .72 That was one of the last versions before the rushed 1.0 release. From that point on the game becomes more and more casual with only a whiff of the memories for what that amazing project was all about. All these new dlc maps are plain stupid and don't fit the game at all. No more real spots, no more gritty street atmosphere, no more 90s golden era. Now you have that new Jack kid with Ray-Ban sunglasses for your character who actually don't fit in the style and the message the game was trying to deliver before. Even this new dlc school map I find too arcade too sterile and Skater XL like. (By watching videos on YT. I didn't buy it)

Loving this game! It's so refreshing. One thing I would eventually love to see is better airing out on quarter pipes/pools/bowls... maybe it's just my timing but too many times the skater goes flying off instead of airing out and it gets frustrating. Also, is there a way to do one foot grinds and stuff? Many times I get a late one foot or whatever but it's always on accident and I don't know how to control it

I just play with manual catch and grinds, left/right food and upped the gravity a bit and push speed and that’s all I have played with. I have a bit of the tism so it makes me panicky to play with the setting to much myself.

Of course there's a paid DLC with a lot of nothing.. To be fair, 2 animation bug fixes are the highlight here as it was the first time we actually can tie something directly to the "animations" hires that been long overdue. And UE5 is nice and all, but will it fix goofy or any of the countless bugs / unfinished features the community asks for years now? I know UE5 was on the table for a long time, but i am pretty sure most of us thought you'd build a feature complete & bug free game first, at least i did.. The disconnect is real. Thx Nacon.

The game is still in alpha but it sells for a complete version. They are adding dlc maps which are out of focus and made for the casual kids at best. This was meant to be the one and only true hardcore skate sim and now we have turtles, sunglasses and panda heads. At the same time the game is so technically broken and so alpha still, it's hilarious. It seems like since their contract with the publisher the game is being in process of some very weird facelift which nobody was asking for

hey i know of a bug that crashes my game nearly every time i Play. how can send it in, i pretty much know how to recreate it

It’s caused by mods, a specific crash is for Cheats Mod but having the game modded does cause crashes after the udate. Unless you properly remove them, you’ll encounter issues. some mods get stuck in your save file after you uninstall, so removing save file too is the way to properly get clean install. If it’s a fatal error after hitting an object, remove Shoe and Hair mods

Ok, sounds like you have an AMD system, in which case do this: Right click on Session on Steam then select Properties. Under Launch Options, type: -d3d11 Launch session.

It will not be voming unfortunately, the way the physics engine is set up apparently does not allow for multiplayer. But to their defense, they have been very upfront about it and have not made any false promises in this regard.

In an Interview published in 2017 on gamerevolution with the then Creative/Artistic Director [and co-founder of Crea-ture Studio who by now left the ship] he explicitly said they switched from Unity Engine to UE "because of Unreal’s multiplayer engine, it made sense to move over." I also remember talks about "MP not initially but something we're interested in later down the line" in devblogs on steam, albeit would have to dig a lot deeper to find them as well.

You can already.. theres Left / Right Foot input and Front / Back foot input. If you mean make it exactly like SKATE. This will not be an option. The closest to Skate inputs you can get in Session is Front / Back foot.

I’m not a KZbinr but I do enjoy the editing so I only post stuff here and there just for the funzies. You have definitely helped me with a few of the extra sketchy missions that are super picking about where you land at and stuff lol. I still got one I cannot seem to get and idk if it’s because I’m goofy but that damn box won’t check for me lol. Think of the engine like a Ceiling. Session hit the Unreal Engine 4 ceiling. Updating it to Unreal 5 raises that ceiling to allow Session to expand. Doesn’t mean new game, session will continue :)
