Pure Aero Team vs Pure Aero: Apart from the weight, what is the difference and for an intermediate player what is recommended.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 жыл бұрын
That is the difference, as the Team is a bit lighter and more maneuverable than the Pure Aero. It starts with the Pure Aero Lite, then Pure Aero Team, Pure Aero, and Pure Aero Tour, (going from lightest, most maneuverable, to heaviest, most stable, and most plow). For an intermediate player, you could use either the Pure Aero Team or Pure Aero, just depends on your preference of weight, but I might lean towards the Pure Aero for a bit more stable feel. Hey guys I’m looking to buy a pure aero, but I’ve come across rumours that these rackets break strings at a rapid rate. I’ve also read that these rackets tend to crack. Can you please shed some light on this matter..?
@hoaluu572
@hoaluu572 4 жыл бұрын
yea, since these are built for spin, it u look carefully on the grommets on the top and bottom, u'll have them find space in order for the strings to move, so careful about ur string choice. but I never heard of them cracking though...
@flavasavamcfly
@flavasavamcfly 4 жыл бұрын
Not really depends on the string tension & also how you play. If you keep hitting the frame with force obviously the racket will crack.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 4 жыл бұрын
@ O PP, the string spacing is pretty open with the Pure Aero, so depending on string type, and the player, it may lead to string breakage, as with most open patterned racquets. That said, when strung with a thicker poly, like 16 gauge Solinco Hyper-G or Luxilon Big Banger Original, we find the strings to hold up well for us. We haven't found the frames to crack, in an unordinary fashion. Troy, TW

I am trying babolat pure aero and aero tour. I am coming from a gravity pro racket. I felt I hit the aero tour better. Great serving, ground strokes heavy and volleys solid. I did like a little consistency with the aero tour but It was probably because I’m not used to this record completely. I think it was pretty solid though with a hybrid set up of rpm blast and some other synthetic on my demo

I’m conflicted on which one out of the Pure aero , Pure aero team , and pure aero lite to choose since I’m somewhat of a beginner since I’ve only been playing a couple of months but I can play decently. I haven’t been too much into rackets but I’m looking into buying my sort of first one since I’ve just been using a racket that was my friends. But for me I prefer to use power in my hits but my current racket isn’t too powerful in my opinion, but also I am a fan of a racket I can get good feel on and speed as well so I don’t know which one to get.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 жыл бұрын
@Ernesto Cortez, What racquet are you currently playing with? The Team and Lite are very similar but I would suggest the Team as it is a tad heavier and probably an easy transition. From there, the Pure Aero offers a bit more weight but with that comes more stability and mass behind the ball so if you are up for it and confident in your mechanics, you can make a jump to that one but a good progression would be from the Team to the standard version. Hope that helps! Michelle, TW

Can you guys please help me understand the difference between Babolat Pure Aero Team and Lite. Team weighs 10.6oz with swingweight of 307 (302 for 2023 version), while as Lite weighs only 10.1oz but a swingweight of 311. Does it mean Lite will be more stable with more power? However, various websites and maybe even Babolat suggest Lite for beginners and Team for strong beginners/intermediate players, shouldn't it be opposite if Lite has higher swingweight and a bit harder to maneuver than Team? No idea why they would have a lighter racket with higher swingweight when they have a heavier one with lighter swingweight.

Since the Radical MP is a bit more of a control racquet, compared to the Pure Aero, then likely the easiest transition for you into the line would be the Pure Aero VS. It offers more control and feel over the Pure Aero, but easier power and spin than the Radical MP. That said, if you want a bigger boost, then the Pure Aero may work well for you, just not quite the control and feel. Troy, TW

Based on the weight of that Speed S, if you wanted the most similar in weight/maneuverability then you would want to go with the Pure Aero Team. If you think you want to go up a bit in weight, for a little more stability and plow through, but won't be quite as maneuverable, then the Pure Aero (standard 300 gram version) might be the way to go. It is pretty close in comfort. The stiffness ratings are essentially the same. The thinner beam of the VS gives slightly more feel, and a bit of a plush feel, but you can still tell that is firm. Comparing the power of the Pure Drive vs Pure Aero VS, is it similar?
@tenniswarehouse

The Pure Aero VS is a bit more control and feel oriented. It packs a pretty good punch for 98 headsize, but slightly less power than the Pure Drive VS. In general the Pure Aero is slightly more control than the Pure Drive, and this is a more control oriented version of the regular Pure Aero. @tenniswarehouse

I wouldn't say it "loses" spin but it does not have as much spin potential compared to some of the others. It is worth remembering that spin is mainly going to be generated with mechanics and then the racquet, string spacing and string will help in adding more RPMs when the technique is correct. So you can still get good spin from the Pure Aero VS but if you swung the same way with the VS and standard Pure Aero, you'd find more spin from the Pure Aero! Hope that makes sense! Michelle, TW

What exactly do you find tedious about the Gravity Pro? I would assume the weight, and swingweight which gives a pretty hefty feel. Not quite sure if you are just asking for the string we prefer? or do specifically want to know about gut or natural gut? We typically prefer a poly in the Pure Aero, like Solinco Hyper-G, Head Lynx Tour, Volkl Cyclone. But the poly strings aren't always the best choice, specifically for players looking for comfort, trying to protect their arms from tennis elbow and other arm injuries. Troy, TW

That's okay, I was mostly confused by the part you wrote "stringing/gut". Maybe you meant, like the type of string and tension? We like the polys mentioned previously, and usually around 52 pounds. That said, some might prefer a synthetic gut (Gosen OG-Sheep or Prince Lightning) or multifilament (Tecnifibre NRG2 or Prince Premier Power), and some like to hybrid (Wilson Duo Power). Troy, TW

This Pure Aero line was released for 2019, and Babolat typically sticks to a 3-year cycle, so the next line of Pure Aero should come sometime around 2022. Troy, TW

What's the difference between pure aero tour, vs and vs tour racquets? For some reason , when I switched from a blade to a vs tour my game improved 2 fold( except for serves).
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 жыл бұрын
Well the Pure Aero VS Tour is not available anymore, it has been discontinued. The last release for that frame was back in 2017, and you can check out our review for that here, to see what we thought: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZXdeYtvpdOAkM0. In the current Pure Aero line, there is a Pure Aero VS, which is a different frame mold to the previous Pure Aero VS from 2017, which that older one was based on the old Aero Storms from Babolat. In the current line the Pure Aero VS, the one shown in this video, offers a bit more control with the 98 headsize and 16x20 pattern, and a bit more feel for the ball with a slightly thinner beam than the regular Pure Aero, but is still pretty firm as far as stiffness. The current version of the Aero VS packs a bit more power, and a bit bigger sweet-spot than the previous iteration from 2017. Troy, TW

Both "Tour" versions are heavier racquets compared to the Pure Aero and Pure Aero VS, but the Pure Aero Tour is a thicker beam more powerful racquet, with a 100 headsize. The Pure Aero VS Tour was more control, thinner beam, 98 heasize with 16x20 pattern, basically same frame as the old Aero Storm Tour. Hope you have a better understanding now. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse Thank you. So, is there any other racquet now that plays the same as VS Tour?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 жыл бұрын
@@surerforever9739 not specifically. The closest current option from Babolat would likely be the Pure Strike Tour 3rd Gen, but has a slightly thicker beam. If you are thinking of trying out some demos, and might be up for other brands, I would consider the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v7 (a bit lighter, and more flexible), Yonex VCORE Pro 97 330 (a bit heftier, and a bit more control and feel), Dunlop CX 200 (lighter, but good feel), Head Graphene 360+ Extreme Tour (lighter, but similar power and spin), and Tecnifibre TFight 315 RS (maybe needs a bit of added swingweight). Im really into buying a pure aero, i fell is the right racquet for me. But im between pure aero and pure aero plus. I rly get the differences you point out in the video but i would like to know if these differences are big or not. For example: is there a big difference in swing difficulty and what about the power? Plus gives you a lot more power?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say the differences are big with the Pure Aero and Aero Plus. The extra half inch does indeed help with some easier power on serves, and groundstrokes, as with most extended versions. That said, typically the extended versions are usually much more sluggish feeling, and in this case the swingweight isn't highly different, it is at 330 for the Aero Plus which is on the upper end, but not significantly different than the standard Pure Aero. It hard to say for certain as to whether the extended length will be a benefit to your game or not, but we have enjoyed the plus version quite a lot. On the contrary, the standard length version is one of the highest selling racquets on the market. (maybe that has something to do with that Rafa guy who endorses the racquet....) Troy, TW

Hello TW, I am planning on changing my racquets but I can't decide which stick to pick. I am playing with topspin most of the time to create openings and then I like to go flat when I have the opportunity. I'm a lefty and I like to slice on my serve. I don't have a good volley technique yet but I'd say I have good groundstrokes technique. I wanted a racquet that offers a little bit of punch, that helps producing spin but also provides a decent amount of control. I was thinking about the Yonex Ezone 98 (305g), the Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310g) or the Prince Phantom 100X (305g). What do you think about these options and could you help me decide pls? Thx ! :)

I would say that the EZONE 98, and Textreme Tour 100 (310) are great choices. I would also throw in the Pure Aero VS, although it has a slightly firmer feel compared to the other two racquets. The Head Graphene 360+ Speed MP is a great choice as well. Troy, TW

@@bastienlauer8396, The EZONE 98 feels a bit more maneuverable, and is a bit more precise with the 98 headsize. The Textreme Tour 100 (310) offers a bit bigger sweet-spot, is more spin friendly, and has a bit more plow through. Comfort is fairly close. Troy, TW

We would probably recommend going up in weight a bit, to help get the added power from the plow through, as long as it doesn't feel to hefty, and slow down the swing. Troy, TW

Yes, it is the most head heavy, but it is also a very light racquet with a relatively low swingweight. The Tour or the Plus swing the most heft of the bunch, in our opinion, and the swingweight pretty much reflects that. Troy, TW
