You know, I've always loved my dynamic duo of Dylan and Cam, but this is one of those videos that makes it feel more like the Three Amigos. Tyler's more serious and dryer tone suits the duo's erraticness perfectly, love you Tyler!😂

I think it's funny that silas in rog / silas is so unimportant to the actual function of the deck that cam doesn't even know what the actual ability is and nobody corrects him. For those wondering he says that when silas deals combat damage to a player you can put an artifact from your graveyard into your hand. It is actually when silas deals combat damage to a player, you may cast target artifact from your graveyard this turn

At first read of the deck, you're left wondering what's the deal with Silas, before realizing that oh, he's just there for the colors, heh

Honestly, having seen it piloted by multiple cedh streamers, it really does need someone who knows the lines to do it justice. Not that these guys couldn't do it, I just think it would take some homework to be worth it. The deck's most prominent pilots call it the most complex deck in any format, and honestly they're not wrong tbh.

I love how play style creates such different experiences for people. Dylan and Cal from The Mind Sculptors couldn’t be any different. And the best part is that neither of them are wrong. Cal thinks RogSi is terrible because he plays decks that prey on turbo. Whereas Dylan seems way more focused on getting his commander out and going. So he doesn’t see the value in Atraxa.

Really nice mix of decks in here to be able to talk about why different styles of players might find different decks scary. I'll admit that when you mentioned scary decks some of the first that came to mind for me were things like Slicer and Godo - decks that can very quickly present a big problem, putting a lot of pressure on opening hands, even if in principle I might have a good matchup. Arguably this is also a commentary on my running too many 'noncreature spell' counters, that get tripped up by powerful turn 1 Commanders. Time to edit...

Great video guys!! I think Cam's list was the most accurate one, which makes sense since he knew the whole list from the beginning. However I think there are two decks that are better than Tayam, Krrik and Inalla that you guys haven't mentioned: Malcolm/Tymna and Thrasios/Dargo. Those decks are getting great results and I think deserve being in the top10 discussion.

Coming from a game like Yu-Gi-Oh and even Pokemon sometimes but being primarily a magic player now, one of the spaces that isn't as explored as I think you guys would be amazing at exploring/explaining is "rogue" decks. The "is (x) still good?" Series exists, and people talk about budget lists but that's not quite it, this video touched on it more tbh. I mean the decks like kri'kk or grixis wizard chick that are still fully upgraded, but maybe aren't the absolute top tier. Not casual, but also not page one of edhrec. I feel the amount of either strong solo commanders just under a kentith level or mono decks explode in representation and the already big format of cedh becomes bigger. Most of these decks can keep up with the higher power enough for the pilot to have fun and they're good enough still on average for the opponent to not feel like he's pubstomping that's all too common in casual. I love CEDH and firmly think the cedh is edh and don't like format split talk, and these decks are the perfect bandaid to that in my mind. In Yu-Gi-Oh we called them "fairer" decks for obvious reasons, but in magic there's allot more room for pilot skill to carry and it's made this kind of deck regardless of color or even play style my favorite. Could I be playing ob nix kingpin (prolly still will tbh)? Yeah, but I built kri'kk first and it's not putting up tournament results like blue farm or flash hulk but my enjoyment in playing that slightly "worse" commander feels significantly more rewarding imo. This is not a CEDH bash at all and play to win myself, I just think that part of the format could be explored allot more. Y'all drop a tier 1.5 decks tier list or even some videos where y'all play a bunch of em and get games in like the "is (x) still good?" I'd be all over it and I think all of of others would be too. This one was a banger tho fs
@Mox_Normandy10 ай бұрын
Absolutely agree. I have a Kess deck that was a top tier cedh deck a few years ago and I still keep it tuned but it isn't on the level of Rog/Si. I still get wins and it feels like the wins I'm getting are more rewarding because it's not just a tier 1 deck list. Tier 1.5 is such a good way of saying that
