I noticed that Garfield’s ears look dark inside, & he was holding his ears down a bit=ear mites! Pleaseeee have Dr. Kristin give you some ear mite medicine & a good flea/tick/heartworm🙏🏼!! I’ve seen outdoor cats w/holes in the back of their ears because they scratch them so much😞😿. And…ESPECIALLY him being a mouser?? You want a GOOD heartworm/flea & tick med! I also noticed that when I’ve heard children in the barn when working w/new arrivals or skittish horses, & the child/children holler, scream or cry(as kids do)? It DEFINITELY affects the horses. It makes them more nervous. NOT meant as anything bad~just letting you know what I’ve noticed. I’m out west, & we have many horses. I take in rescues, & foster them when shelters are overwhelmed. I also foster 🐈⬛ 🐈cats/kittens. I never let cats outside, because they don’t need to be outside. Anyway, I love your YT channel♥️. I actually lived outside the biggest city near you😉…& I’d never heard of you!! Of course, I haven’t lived there for many years. I’ve got a couple pet peeves(no pun intended), but, I’ll keep it to myself, for now. My husband is a farrier, just for our horses now. He doesn’t have time to do anyone else’s!!

Excellent intro! kudos to your person who designed it. Thank the Lord you all made it back safely, snowing even lightly is a dangerous time to be on the roads, especially pulling full trailers of horses. So happy there were no issues getting back. I prayed for you to land safe! I wish I could have sent a truckload of blankets for these guys, it is cold outside! I like this vet, he likes to explain things in a manner that can easily be understood. The horse with the tendon issues is such a pretty little one, if she is not painful maybe she can be a new rider horse for some young kids. The young Belgian , very handsome, kind eyes, and a much better prognosis than we expected, and the cherry on top was Dr. saying I LOVE DRAFTS and he has his own! gotta love Pauly not many farriers will work on drafts, can't say I blame them. Whenever you get a nervous one in the stocks, my heart rate goes WAY up, those chains etc would have to be much bigger if I were the farrier. With the weight and power of a draft, if one goes really mental in those stocks and has "an explosive" moment, stuff is GONNA break, and I hope Pauly gets well clear or he could be hurt or worse. Please have a fund drive to get the necessary stuff to make your stocks literally bomb proof. I know your husband is good at making stuff, I just sincerely think if you are going to rescue drafts the stocks must be reworked for all of your safety and the safety of the horse that is the first to literally turn into a demon possessed entity! If I see any fundraising to improve the stocks, I will be one of the first to donate to the cause. Please do not think I am putting you all down, I am just truly concerned for ya'lls safety. What about some soft sedation when you need to get a really nervous one in the stocks? would that help or would it be a bad idea to use even soft sedation and stocks together? Just trying to learn things here. I have never owned a huge horse of any kind, only Morgans and smaller Quarter horses. Ya'll need to wear mics, so we can hear all the questions and answers, please? Wow, Dr Kristin is really giving a mentoring on reading radiographs. So kind of her to take the time to do that. You all will get better as time goes by, afterall, people go to a lot of schooling to be the ones that read all the radiographs taken at hospitals. You haven't even had the machine that long so your learning as you go and doing great! I have gravitated more to watching all of your stuff of late because between Pauly and Dr Kirstin, its a learning experience. Horse Plus was like like when Dr Nancy was there, but as they are finally getting some staff vets, I hope it will come back, but I think the new lady is straight out of vet school so I hope she majored in large animals at least. There is no price to be put on experienced vets.

Hi.. just a quick message to let you know that Horse Plus has got TWO vets..yes a newly qualified vet but also DR LYDIA who you will have seen if you've watched them she used to come out with Doc until they got Dr Nancy... Dr Lydia has now agreed to become a full time vet at Horse Plus with the newly qualified one also..l think at the moment she is working her notice with her current job.. she they will have completely 24/7 vet cover going forward and at auction which is invaluable for those horses saved...can't wait..going to be so good..Dr Nancy was excellent and so is Dr Lydia..🇬🇧👍🐎

@@kimmarievan-ever6599 Thank you for the information, I appreciate it. I did not realize that Dr Lydia was coming on full time, I must have missed that being said. So, wonderful, the new to practicing vet will have Dr Lydia to mentor her and bring her up to speed on the usual rescue horses problems. I love Horse Plus and have donated from time to time. I am amazed at the tenacity of Tawnee and her husband, this sure has been a difficult period for them. God is smiling down and helping them to continue helping His creatures! Can't get better than that.
@kimmarievan-ever659910 ай бұрын
@claudiadickerman4218 Yes its great news all around vet wise..they are still able to rescue without going to the auction which is amazing because it stops the horses getting into the horrible auction atmosphere and neglect because they are not fed or watered and this way not picking up any nasty infections at the auction too..but I'm sure some of the more neglected ones who really need the last act of kindness are getting through to auction..yes Tawnee said that with her full time job and family Dr Lydia couldn't do the job when they employed Dr Nancy..but she has decided to accept Horse Plus offer this time..l think she has 4 children too..l imagine the newbie vet will live on site like Dr Nancy did. I think it will work out so well..can't wait for both of them to start full-time.. although Kimberley does an amazing job looking after them..she should train as a vet tech she already Is so knowledgeable..that poor Horse that hurt herself trying to jump the fence..oohh she must hurt so much.. I'm amazed how Tawnee and Jason keep going with all the people against them..I'm afraid I'd lose my temper..must be so disheartening..yes l too have donated on various occasions..depending on my funds..I'm in the UK 🇬🇧 and the exchange rate is pretty good so l can give a bit more when it's that good..sometimes it works out at double my donation!! 🇬🇧💞🙏✝️👏👍🐎🎁🎄🎅❄️🦌🇺🇸

@@kimmarievan-ever6599 Yes they have strength and they get it from their faith. They have been hounded by naysayers and liars all the way back to two decades ago when they started this mission in California. There in Tennesee there are horse traders and wanna be rescues that tell lies about Horse Plus all the time, big lies, like Tawnee and her husband use donation funds to self enrich their private lives, and all kinds of terrible lies. They keep going because they know what they are doing is a good thing, and with their faith they know that the Creator God who made all the animals is smiling every time they give care and mercy to these poor animals. I like to think that when an organization like theirs receives all this negative flack it is because of jealousy of the ones spreading the lies. Jesus himself said that you will be hated the same way I AM because you live your life in a godly manner which is pleasing to the Father. So, if your not being hounded and persecuted perhaps your living to impress the world, not God. I too have a great faith and as an older person, I can look back and see every single mistake I made was because I was wanting to please the world more than God. I donate to them not just because of the nature of the mission, but because I trust them to be more interested in pleasing God than man. I don't live too far from the facility, I am in the Northwest corner of South Carolina. I would love to take a few days to drive over (after making an appointment to visit of course) and meet them in person and I would love to meet Kimberly, I agree she is top notch and very knowledgeable . I wonder as I have never heard it mentioned if Kimberly has a cancer type illness as she always has the "Chemo" headcovering that many use because of cancer treatments making their hair fall out. I pray for her even though I don't know because I leave it up to God as HE KNOWS what she needs. We all need to pray for them as they go even further into the cause by going to Washington DC and their State Legislature as well to lobby for animal rights laws to be changed overall, not just for the horses. That world of politics is evil to the core and they will need prayers to succeed in their mission to change the laws. Thank you for the conversation, all the way from the UK. I love to watch many wonderful shows old timey ones and documentaries and good clean stories on Britbox. What a beautiful country once you leave the cities, I would have like to travel there myself, but alas, I am getting too old to do that kind of thing anymore, my traveling days are over. Blessings from South Carolina

I always wonder why people will use a horse until its hurt and then bring it back to you. With other companion animals, like dogs, we are aware they will get old and hurt, and stop competing in, say obedience or agility. Or just stop running or hiking. People dont get rid of their old pet dogs, or very rarely, and its monstrous. Horses, it seems like theres no commitment to the life cycle of the animal, no appreciation for all the good time they have given. Just my impression as someone who doesnt own a horse, but does dog rescue.
