Really lovely car, and a prime example of why there’s not much point being scared of high mileage cars - as long as they’re looked after properly there’s not much to worry about. Either way, 93k miles over 12 years equates to less than 8000 miles per year, which is hardly repmobile-esque.

As big fan of Tim and the channel I do feel it’s lost a bit of continuity of content. Respectfully, one video is reviewing a car, next a road trip, next Shmuseum, next restoring a modern classic, next visiting car collections etc… I feel the Shmuseum channel needs to come back which would resolve this. Also, it’s Tim doing everything and as brilliant as I think he is - would be so good to break things up with Tom and Brad returning - adding some humour and fun!
@matmul4850 Жыл бұрын
Apparently the Shmuseam channel was taking too many views away from the main channel. Seeing as so much of Tim's business is connected to the main channel he couldn't let that continue, so he had to mothball the Shmuseam channel. Very nice car. 😎 That light warning you get but all lights are working could be a faulty GM module. That module are a known fault on this generation BMW when it have been little used for a while or been down on battery power over a long time. You will not get any faultcodes for that. Only a light warning that will go away after a while. Its possible to code away the warning for light error. But then you will never get warning when a bulb will go out either. 😅

Small tip that you probably do but make notes of all fault codes found. Time, dates, DTC, any other info as clearing them you lose all that info and makes it very hard to diagnose if the fault happens again! You can build up a history of all faults.
@HalfdeadRider Жыл бұрын
There were no codes, plus if he deleted any and not investigated and fixed the issues causing them, for the most part they will just come back. Some codes just show after removing certain components and refitting or replacing them, those can just be deleted and forgotten about.

@HalfdeadRider you do know not all fault codes point to a failed component? There are several for air path for example that are not related to a compnant so frequency of code along side other stored codes would help.
