Europe security isn't only military concerns. Industrial security is primary. The US drove the EU into having to compete by manufacturing in China. Now the US drives the Ukraine war and raises prices on energy. I wouldn't consider Ukraine anything other than a lesser cared for nation getting a dirtier deal than Greece got to ruin their economy.
