Could I ask for advice? I am going Resto dudu for cata, atm I am tailor and engineering should I keep it or go Herb & Alchemy? I am not a try hard player. I should go herb and Alchemy for gold right?

It's better than mining and skinning but it's worse than every other prof for healers and DPS. I think it's only 480 haste on use.

Herbalism is decent, but not as good as the rest. Lifeblood gives you 480 haste on a 2 min CD. Assuming you keep it on on CD, this is a total of 80 haste, which is strictly worse than 80 primary stat. It will be good for some specs and bad for others, but it will never be the best.

Im going Alch/Tailoring as a healer. Tailoring is worth roughly 3x the regen vs any other profession since in 4.3 spirit was buffed. Add that to the alchemy flask buff and the alch trinket from the start and on the private server ive really felt like mana was never an issue from the get go on my hpal, resto druid and resto shaman. Ill be keeping alch tho for the gold because there are A LOT of on use trinkets for healers throughout cata so it clashes with eng

I already have transmute alchy on most of my chars for gems now and I hope I can make a good amount of money with Truegold. Also the trinkets are pretty good for casters and healers. And double flasks never hurt either.

You do not need to level on the beta. you can make an 85 template toon with full heroic dungeon blues

I personally like the jewelcrafting/enchanting combo. You don't make tons of gold, but you save a lot of gold from being spent. From what I remember with reforging every single new piece of gear usually results in not only the reforging, but re gemming many items as well. Enchanting provides value as well as you can DE all your old gear and not have to spend a single dime on your enchants because you have the mats. I totally agree on making bank on Alchemy as I had five alchemists that where master of transmutes during this time period in the game.

Regemming isnt rly an issue, every tank stacks mastery and if u follow color u add stamina or avoidance hybrid colors. All other specs just stack primary stats everywhere and hybrid colors. As a caster you might gem hybrid hit early on (lock and mages) but as soon as u start gemming raid gear u dont rly ever regem anything due to reforging.

@@afscrew123 I forgot the name of the site I used to use, but every piece of gear I got I remember having to re adjust most of my stats including re gemming a lot. Towards the end of the expansion I agree that there is no need to re gem as much. Early on though, even after reaching hit cap, I recall switching around a lot of haste and crit depending on if the new piece I got had one or the other as the dominant stat. I played moonkin so perhaps that is why our experiences are different.

TBH after a great deal of cata years, I can safely say, that Stamina is NOT the meta stat for tanks. Cata is more about mitigation through mastery and avoidance than being beefy. Good guide though

Theres always a level requirement but it's usually whatever the last cap was. So yea you should be able to max your professions at 80 and not have to level certain alts

4:55 Come to think of it, can WotLK's Nitro Boots even fail in raid? I don't think I've ever had them fail inside a raid, nor have I ever seen them fail on anyone. It only ever happens when I'm moving about in Dala etc.

One thing you seem to keep skipping over is pairing your archeology with alchemy. Only characters with alchemy will be able to do the quest for vial of the sand stone drake from archeology. So if you have an alt with alchemy, you should do archeology on that character.

Armor tinker doesn’t seem that strong for tanks it’s less then 1% physical dmg taken. I know for feral tank I’ll go for the + stats one since I will get more threat / more dodge / more atk power some more dmg absorbed. Now if they stack then cool I’ll use both. Still kinda in the dark when it comes to Cata.

Alchemy doesnt grant bonus stat by passive, you need to track your microflask and rebuff it.

I do not agree with stamina stacking on tanks. Bdk would stack mastery and feral would stack agility/mastery(dodge even), so LW is not necessary for bdks, but is good for ferals. Tanks are no longer Stamina-bots in Cata.

Most people playing classic are not super high end players they're very casual the difficulty jump from wrath to cata will get rid of most of the classic Andy's. I'm not sure why you're mad but you will see a tremendous drop off by the third month of cata. Low skilled players will not be able to complete the heroic dungeons. You'll see

If you think it's going to have the numbers of vanilla, tbc, or wrath, you're delusional. Yes, some people like it and will play, but don't ignore the history of sub numbers, from 2004-2010 and today. If you don't care about numbers, look at the polls and the forums. Far more prefer the old world and old style of the game.

They removed the shared CD for engi hands and trinkets in Wrath. I would expect you can just use everything at the same time.

i'll go Herbalism and Alchemy. I like the haste bonus from herb, and the trinket bonuses are nice too. was extended duration on flasks a cata thing? Edit: Plus i never went herb alchy. so something new rather than always doing the meta
