All I ever wanted was the original trilogy to be made based off of the SNES trilogy with Modern day graphics. The speeder, the gun play, the space battles and of course the sword fights. The Force unleashed at lease allowed me to play as any character I wanted. The gameplay was fine and I haven't felt like Jedi since lol. The saber wasn't a glorified baseball bat like the star wars game with that ginger kid.

I really hate Starkiller for killing Cody in kamino in legends, but I glad Disney canon save Cody's life, I hope He will remove his chip in bad batch. In canon that it already been changed from Cody to Crosshair to training stormtroopers for the Empire, I think Starkiller in Canon could be better than legends.

Many would argue he isn't actually OP at all. Think about it; his level of power makes complete sense when you actually consider the context behind it. He was the son of two Jedi so likely got both their power combined, likely had partial training from his father already, was found by Vader at a young age and trained for his whole life, and what finally really makes it perfectly acceptable is the difference between Sith Training and Jedi training. Jedi training is all about self-discipline, restraint, and learning to use the force for peaceful uses. Sith training on the other hand is about pushing yourself to your absolute limit, tearing yourself down, and then pushing yourself even further. Add to that the fact that Vader had Starkiller's training droid Proxy programmed to actually try to kill him, and you realize that even in training matches Starkiller would have to be going all out, not holding anything back, because if he did he'd risk being killed. With all that combined it's entirely reasonable that Starkiller would be that powerful, and one of the designers confirmed that Starkiller was basically meant to be what Luke would've been had he trained under Vader in those exact same circumstances.

I think it's a part of canon that one reason the 2 sith (in particular Sidious) were so powerful was that the full power of the Dark side was only divided between 2 individuals. It was like it was concentrated in those two. I wonder, after Order 66, did the light concentrate in the remaining Jedi (particularly Yoda) in the same way? Was Yoda vastly more powerful after Order 66 than before?

Also, Disney won't bring in a character who would seem to be named after Starkiller Base. I'm guessing he isn't, but Disney's angle is to cater to the masses, and the masses only know "Starkiller" as that weaponized planet that Kylo Ren ran.

Galen Marek was the son of 2 jedi, Kento and Mallie Marek. After his mother was killed by a group of trandoshans and his father killed by Darth Vader, Galen was then taken by Vader to be his apprentice and was given the name Starkiller.

Or you can make him a neutral force of nature style antagonist struggling with a degrading mind from being an early attempt at making a force capable clone, with his lack of restraint allowing him to power up even more, maybe make it so the emperor AND vader have to fight him together to stop him. Starkiller in the novelization is toned down to reasonable levels, besides video games always hype up the strength of the protagonist to make the game fun to play so they are an unreliable way to accurately measure a character's strength

Whenever I hate on StarKiller (not the fine voice and character actor who plays him), it’s because the story permits him to either defeat or capture Darth Vader. So, whether they upped StarKiller or nerfed Vader, it sets canon too far on it’s ear for me. I like Darth Vader being an undefeatable NPC who you can FLEE from, but not defeat, capture, or kill. And Starkiller’s subsequent murder of Han and Chewie, and corruption of Luke, was just too much. Many fans enjoyed it, and that is great. I can totally see StarKiller/Galen Marek become screen-canon. But NOT as being the guy who kicked Vader’s arse.

Starkiller being responsible for the death of Han and Chewbacca and turning Luke to the dark side were not part of the actual story but just a "Hey wouldn't it be cool if" DLC. To be fair Ashoka was able to go toe to toe with Vader for a time, so Galen being a Vader's apprentice and was raised as a sith should give Galen a decent chance to beat Vader or capture him

@@Silver-6907 I think we largely believe the same....Ahsoka trained under Anakin and the Jedi Order, but became something different than a Jedi. Her fight with Vader in “Twilight” was EPIC because she couldn’t reconcile that Vader was really Anakin, and Vader (momentarily) shed his “Sith” persona when Ahsoka damaged his helmet. The combatants were highly skilled, almost evenly matched, and deeply conflicted. Ahsoka saved Kanan and Ezra by holding off Vader. She couldn’t defeat him, and her fate was unknown (for a few YEARS) until “World Between Worlds”. I was FLOORED by the story arc, and supremely SATISFIED. Both characters lived to fight another day! My long-winded point here is that Vader didn’t win OR lose. And neither did Ahsoka. Ahsoka was about to die, and was pulled to safety by Ezra. Maul “got outta dodge”, answering the fan question “who would win?”. It was Vader, because Maul was depicted as fearing his power. Now, they COULD somehow still fight in “canon”. But for NOW, the issue was settled. This is what you get when master show runner Dave Filoni is flying the ship. Canon is preserved, characters meet and exceed fan expectations, and the groundwork is seamlessly laid for future story-telling. Just my two cents. I’m tired of seeing Vader not winning. The recent Vader comic, which took him to Exegol and Sidious, ended in a manner I could live with. Vader returned as Sidious’ apprentice, while not backing down or being (again) humbled - and kicking some butt in the process.

Starkiller never was truly canon. While Lucasfilm planned on him being a part of canon, they threw out this idea following the release of the first Force Unleashed game. I liked the games too, but Starkiller wasn't ever canon, guys.
