I appreciate both of you so much. Simon made some awesome analogies that really resonated with me. One was like “trying to hang a name tag on air” (in the context of identifying with spaciousness), another was “an internal civil war,” and another had to do with false advertising, which was followed by an ad literally the *exact* second after he said it 😂 ❤

When it comes to the old character popping up occasionally, it's kind of like you built a house at one point, but then tore it all down, poof it's all gone. You looked through all the destroyed remains ad found one single nail that isn't to bad, you take it, and use it in the new house you build. It doesn't mean a damn thing, but that nail from the old house is in the new house somewhere. So occasionally you have that thought pop up of oh yeah....that nail's still out there or in here somewhere eh? Not bothering anything or doing anything, oh well. Like a thought, it pops up briefly then is gone.

Here's an amusing thought I had. Emoji's....who are they for? They signify smiling and anger and what not, but they aren't real...essentially we are...an emogi....or human characters are emoji's.

Thank you for pointing out areas that can continue, especially how the sense of embodiment can still exist. That's true here and has been creating doubts. As far as false advertising I feel we are in a new era of finally getting the truth about awakening. Blessings 🙏❤

Emotions/feelings are not truth but it seems like they can be blockages to truth…so looking inside includes feeling these in order to get to the place of surrender.

Awareness is "me" even though it's nothingness, despite there being no you. "You" are the awareness trying to be someone/something but that you has no identity. Nothingness can't be aware of itself, it's nothingness, yet we are nothingness. It's all just a silly paradox.

i competely agree resonate don't fight fear our emotions express how we truly feel i'm always ok how i truly feel but everyone else is not ok with it but only some are ok how we truly feel i think it's ok to be honest how we actually trulty feel i also think it's ok if some choose to have fear it doesn't matter to me at all either the only thing i will always don't resonate with is that i'm not actually here or there everything i experience is an fake illusion hologra i don't buy into that at all i will always think that i am actually here or there that everything i experience here and my dream and imagination is real to me in my book that's just my perspective take on it

Surender can be a technique or a way to look at reality. “Be ok with whatever arises” is a mind trick to control perception in the attempt to remain centered in what feels like the self. Surender is happening. It is currently in the perception. The same with the other millions of things that are currently happening and currently in the perception. Not one of these happenings are more “spiritual” than the other. These millions of happenings is life. The feeling of “nothing is the self” is also one of the millions of happening. Don’t put any importance to that feeling. It’s nothing. It’s only interesting now because it’s a fairly new experience and fun to talk about. What’s wise is to be able to use this realization in a practical way to contribute towards the evolution of consciousness, instead of just observing a new dimension. Although life is happening, therefore the practical will realize itself.

Great topic! Before I listen to the presentation I got the idea that surrender is already the case. How do you drop a tool that's already dropped? "Not my will but Thy will be done" is not a choice, it's a statement of a fact. God is the same as Brahman, changeless. Brahman is all there is. How can we change Brahman? We can't! Because the Atman (individual self) is a facet of that same changeless diamond.
