Know idea what happen at the sellers end but it made my budget build that much better. Someday 4 cores won't be enough, but thanks to products like the Steam Deck 4 core still go strong. It is practically uses the same methods as the new gen, just on 4 cores and despite me going for it as a filler until the 5000 series, I got fond of it and ended up holding on to it - especially after founding out it's unique manufacturing process and overall mythical nature later. Paired it with an rtx 2060 itx card (was also considered a rare find even before the gpu shortage) and got a small jewelry box of technology:)

For my primary desktop (gaming and productivity - office, web-dev, some audio/video) I got a 3700x for just under MSRP (codes/cashback) at launch (I upgraded my 1600x on an x370 board from 2017) and loved it. Very impressed at the time for the price. Zero complaints since. Mid last year, I was looking for an upgrade to my i5 3470 based HTPC and I wanted to get a one of these 3300x models, as they looked like such good value, but they weren't in stock anywhere. I ended up getting an R3 3100 and an A320 board for £10 more than the price of the 3300x. Added a cheap 500gb nvme and 16gb of 3200 cl16 which worked at xmp out of the box. Frankly, it's been stellar for the price, and my housemate has been using it as his primary PC for coding and web-dev recently. They're little workhorses with decent ram and storage. It's handled all games I've thrown at it on my 4k60 TV, as my main desktop takes care of Cyberpunk. Everything else has been great on the little trooper, as it only needs to do 60fps and on cinematic, couch-games. As much as I wanted the extra 10% in clocks and latency of the 3300x, it would have cost me 40-50% more in the end. Eventually I'll swap the 3700x into the a320 HTPC build (microATX) and sell off the 3100 and x370 (ATX) in time to upgrade my main system to AM5 or equivalent (DDR5), where I'll go big with a 16c/32t 64gb monster. The ability for this process of conscious downcycling is the single best advantage of AM4's platform in the end for me.

Some 3300X CPUs have come back in stock at Newegg and B&H for $150 , makes me wonder if they just came out of a warehouse someplace or if they are still being made?

Manscaped: makes a dedicated shaver to use on your 'nether regions', so you don't have to do double duty with the same shaver you use on your face. Greg: .....nvm...

I actually never thought of the 3300x before, only the 3200g and the 3400g.

Was going to get this CPU when it got announce but hot damn the pc shop at our town won't sell me one unless it's bundle with MoBo, which jacked up the price for me and I didn't even need the extra baggage. Sadge that I'm still stuck with my 2200G up to this day.

I wanted one of these at £120.00 in the UK it was never available. Managed to snag a 3600X for £187 last year, £1 more than the 3600 at time of purchase following a bunch of price rises.

Getting it for 150USD, a lil but pricy but no regret at all since now this one would make a fortune to get near MSRPs.
