My neighbor works at BMW and drives a brand new Dinan stage 3 M3 and it legit spins in 3rd gear and 2,500rpms with 3 people. Those new m3s are absolutely amazing

I would hold onto it as well. In 10 years time those cars will have appreciated very nicely! Not to mention it's a manual, last naturally aspirated V8, and only V8 in a ///M3. Keep it stock and true to its roots and you my friend have a nice investment.

I had to subscribe after watching this video. Nice to see organic guys do reviews together. I’m not a trackster like the guys at motor trend. So I just need to know the basic pros and cons. Currently own a 2017 X5 after trading in my 2014 3-series. I miss taking curves in the sedan. Maybe a slightly used (2016-2017 with less than 10k miles) competition packaged M3 for me. 🤷🏽‍♂️❤️

Great review. Wonder if the owner actually tracks that to justify the ceramics. I spec’d full leather for my 2017. Looks much better than the plastic dash IMO. Great review, gentlemen.

While the current M3 is an awesome car, awesome power and a great "dailyable race car" the F80 is definitely not "What the M3 always should have been". If anything the E92 M3 or E46 M3 is the what truly represents it, the E46 more than the E92. The M3 was originally about handling, engines that love to rev, and not an insane amount of power. The F80 is not about that. (Yes it handles well) but even since the facelift E92 there has been too much luxury in what was originally a sports car. The effort in this review is 10/10 and your points are good, but the title is flat out wrong.

Quick question Eddie: why there are so few diesel-powered cars in the USA? 3.0d from BMW or 3.0TDI from Audi are powerful engines with a lot of torque and are very fuel efficient (up to 40-45MPG) in highway driving. In Europe I think that around 50%-60% cars are diesels. And we have strict emissions standards in EU.

+MultiTerpen having driven all the recent generations, the E46 is one of the greatest. But as times change and the car landscape evolves, the M3 also has to change. I think the latest comp pack is just as much of a proper M3 as the e46
