Isn't being childishly cause sad is a normal human emotion. Most of the children i meet don't even gonna cry over a pet cause pet is just a TOY with them. My hamster named Noodle passed away today. Completely unexpected, he was only 1,5 years old and was running in his wheel and being his energetic self. I’ve been crying non stop, it feels so awful 😢. I’m sorry for anyone who has or is feeling the same way as I do right now❤

It's been over a year since I lost my first hamster, but I still sometimes cry over him (like right now, haha). When I got a new buddy six months ago I thought it would be really hard for me to reuse items, because they would be a reminder of some very sad times. But it actually ended up being the opposite - I think it actually helped with my grieving process. It felt like my old boy "passed on" his favourite things like an older sibling would to a younger, and that does make me smile (even if I'm also crying haha.). Rest well, little Mabel. While no one loved you as much as Victoria, you were loved by people all over the world.

I still get sad over losing my Bijou over 9 months ago now. They really are our babies. I keep repeating to myself the advice you gave about losing a hammy, and reminding myself that it is the circle of life and out of our control. It’s still sad, but it helps me accept it. Thank you so much for these videos, they are so helpful in caring for our hammies at every stage of life. For our Bijou, we did a lovely burial in our garden out back. We plan to make a little rock garden there. He even has a little rock plaque with his name and birthday and photo. This all helped with the grieving process so much. You give your babies such beautiful lives, my heart goes out to you. Mabel was so adored❤

My hamster recently passed from unknown causes. I’m not sure how to find out (I, unfortunately, did not have a camera at the time) but I do know that he had an average life. He is my first hamster so I was very uneducated *at the start.* However, you helped me take way better care. I had my first Syrian called Shadow, he was a beautiful brown and white hamster. He was like my little therapy hamster, and he passed yesterday. It’s having the same emotional impact on me as loosing a dog or cat, he was something special. We used to nickname him “Shads”, and he lived over 2 years but passed peacefully in his sleep. @@cer1328 I’m sorry for you too. Crazy how such a small hamster can leave such a huge impact. It doesn’t exactly help that I was unable to upgrade his enclosure when I knew he needed it, and that was no fault of my own, I really pushed for it. But it makes it harder when you feel like you have actual justification for feeling guilty. But I started a local petition in him memory which got over 100 signatures with his picture, so he touched a lot of people!

My little Rosey passed away just a few hours ago. I was sobbing. Couldn’t stop crying. She was 2 1/2 years old and passed away from stomach cancer. She was limping and fell a lot and her legs were barely working. The vet ended her pain and I hope she has all the cheese she wants in hamster heaven. ❤❤❤ Sleep well, Rosey

im so sorry for your loss, my hammy died on 16.10.22 around 12pm. her name was lola she was a lovely and active hammy and i must confess my cage wasn’t the best and she was given to me as a gift. she was a 2yr+ old hammy and she was dieing when she was given to me. I have a male dwarf hamster that’s name is smokie and he is around 2 and a half and just a few weeks ago i found a large lump on the back of his foot and I was just able to talk to a vet today and they said it is cancer. He has been chewing on his leg which is causing it to bleed really bad and he is in a lot of pain but is trying to hide it and we decided the best option is to put him to sleep😖 he will be missed just like Mabel. I guess I’m here to say thank you Victoria for everything u have taught me because u r the reason I was able to give him such a wonderful life and u have taught me so much so thank you and I’m sorry about Mabel

My hamster just turned 2 last year. I know her time is coming to an end soon. It makes my heart break. everyday when I come to the cage and she doesn’t come out I get paranoid that she’s passed. Victoria thank you for all your helpful videos. I luckily came across your channel a few days after getting my beloved butters and because of you I discovered that hamsters need large space, and tons of bedding. I stayed away from potential dangerous things (small cage, tubes, bath dust) I would’ve bought because of you. My hamster is healthy and happy.

Thank you Victoria. You taught me so much about hamsters and I was able to provide a better life to my Syrian hamster Mr. Buns thanks to you. He passed away yesterday due to old age. He lived 2.5 years, a good life. I knew it was coming. He started balding, becoming less mobile, and not eating as much as before. The vet assured me he was in no pain and to continue to monitor him. He passed away within a week of the vet visit. Mr. Buns was my first hamster and a loving lil guy. I’m honestly not sure if I’ll get another hamster. It’s too soon to think about. I took him to a pet cemetery today to be cremated, it was emotional. They don’t live long and they’re quite tiny and frail, but hamsters truly impact your life. 🙏 ❤️ I love you Mr. Buns. 🐹

3 hours ago i woke up, when i did my makeup i saw my hamster laying out of her house, she sometimes did it so i took a pic of her cuz she was cute. then i came closer to my cage and i realised she was dead and her eyes were open. she was 1y and 8moths old and i dont know what happened. she had this big cage, i was cleaning everything properly and i took the best care of her. we were bonding and i even trained her to give kisses. im really sad, she was my spirit animal and i miss her sm

My little Cham-P passed from old age. He was a tiny robo dwarf hamster, it was his third year with me and he was slowing down a bit because he was getting to be quite the old man. I came home from school and looked for him only to find a little box in his cage, unknowingly, I opened it to see my hamster inside. My mom called me coincidentally as I opened it and explained he died in her hands that morning while I was at school. Two days later my cat broke her paw and died, she was also very old. I miss them both so much.

Our first Hamster Baby Girl died 18 months ago. We were devastated. We put her in her carrot house with lots of bedding. We lit a candle and put lots of flowers around her. I then read a letter aloud, telling her all the things we loved about her and how much joy she brought to us, in her short life. We also played..you are so beautiful in the background. Our pug who is always boisterous. Lay down beside her and rested his head on his paws. It was like he knew what was happening and was respectfully saying goodbye to his little friend. I then put our letter in with her and buried her in a big blue flowerpot. We bought a beautiful white flowering plant and put it in the pot. I can still cry my eyes out thinking about her. Her legacy? ...we have given a home to two unwanted hamsters. Baby girl was going to chucked off a balcony as my friends daughter was sick of her monkeybarring. We had been looking after her as they were on holiday. She never went back. We made a huge home for her which she loved and gave her the best life we could and lots of attention. She was a huge part of our family. I never appreciated "rodents" until we got her. When our two fur babies pass, we will continue to give homes to unwanted hamsters. They may be small and disposable to some people but these little creature deserve lots of love and care as do all animals. Treasure your time with your fur babies, they are gone too soon. Miss you Baby Girl ❤...sorry if 8m rambling 😔

Sorry for ur loss :( It's always hard when a pet passes and for me it feels like with every hamster I get they live less long (even though all of mine have lived 2 or more years) as time just feels more short. I had my first hamster (she was a robo) passing away in February a few days before my birthday.. she only lived for 1 year and 4 months and I think she died of torpor or because of food (I did not found food while cleaning her enclosure) but she was just coming out late at night now so I don’t really know, I were out the week before founding her I just know my mom left the window open and forgot to give her food ( I did only in the weekend before leaving as I always do) I found it very difficult being without her she had some dangerous adventures going on her life but I’m happy for her even just being her last 6 months she was able to live in a 619 inches sq bin cage and for a little time having a playpen and all because of you! I now want another hamster but I cry every time thinking that everything the other hamster will do will remember me of her as the hamster is going to have all her stuff and I’m sad thinking that every time I will upgrade my care it wouldn’t be fare to her me treating better other hamster when I didn’t did the greatest for her even though I tried a lot and I was about to buy her a bunch of new stuff

My hamster is getting old He is 1.5 years old he turns 2 on October 1st I hope he makes it to his second birthday. He is my first ever Pet I have owned. This video helped. My hamster just crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, I was definitely not expecting it, even though he started showing old hamster signs he was just 1,6 years old. I’m so sorry about Mabel! She was so well cared for and very very loved I’m sure.

So sorry about Mabel. My Hamster passed on the 03 March so our losses are very close. My Hamster went down hill so quickly I was very surprised. I did learn that in the future I will be aware what is normal for past behaviors is not normal when your hamster is over 2 years old. I miss Igor and know he died in his sleep and hope him and Mabel can play together in the hereafter. No danger of pregnancy and hopefully hamsters will be less of loners in their next lives but who knows for sure. Once again your impact is much greater than just on Mabel's life as I am sure you improved and will continue to improve the lives of thousands of hamsters around the world.

Thanks for making this video there were times when my hamsters passed away and I felt guilty about not feeling sad. Even with how short their lives are, hamsters really give you everything they have they're amazing animals and I wouldn't trade mine for the world.

I had my first hamster he was a dwarf he died suddenly so i made a funeral with famiyl and friends and now a couple month has been by and I got a new one I watched this video and sanitazed the stuff and now my new hamster Tofu is living his best lifer
