Welcome my channel! If this is your first time seeing my face or hearing my voice, my name is Lee and I am a self aware narcissist. I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.
The point of these videos is to help bring awareness from the other side of the narcissistic *buse spectrum. All my videos give perspective on why many narcissists do what they do and the possible different reasons behind them. The victims and survivors get validation and the Narcissists (those that are willing) get to see that you can get help and that you are not alone.

They aren't done with us, they just dont want to deal with us right now. This makes so much sense and brings so much understanding into how they are thinking. Thank you.

They will always come back. 2 months, 2 years. If they ghost it's because they didn't have the backbone to breakup with you properly - they want to keep you on the backburner.

Mine is done with me. He's living with his female roommate who looks exactly like his teenage fiancee from 24 years ago who slept with his bestfriend. He was so obliviously in love with his roommate. She's 38 and he's 64. Yeah he's moved on alright. He waits on her and her kids while she's hooking up with someone else. He's in love with her but I don't think she feels the same way. She's using him for a place to live and to cook and clean for her and her kids.

"Dated" a narc for almost a year. He ghosted me TWICE during the relationship, first for a week, then for two months. It was always out of the blue, until I found out he lied to me about being single. He came back every single time with excuses, bringing gifts, making promises. The last time he came back? I pretended everything was fine until one day, out of the blue, I dumped him. Dude had a legit mental breakdown.

Exactly, you’ve gotta stand up for yourself to realize you’re worth FAAAAR more than how this person is treating you. Ghosting is the ultimate red flag, you’re right. It is the ultimate tell. It shows just how little they care, how cowardly they are, how selfish, how entitled, how unkind, and how unempathic they are. No one who cares about or loves you would ghost you. Don’t let someone who’s ghosted you back in your life unless they apologize, recognize and acknowledge how much hurt they caused you, show real remorse for their actions, show they’ve made real steps towards change, and a willingness and desire to enact that change (and they detail how that change will happen and what it will look like going forward). And that’s the *minimum* to accept from someone who’s ghosted you to be let back in your life. The cost of entry to be in your life should be high. Don’t accept someone’s bs excuses or fake apologies. Likely if you’re dealing with a narc though, you’ll never get a true apology or real accountability, but that should be the bar for their reentry in your life (even if they’ll never reach that bar).

I was wondering why I fell into that pattern of waiting patiently for someone who ghosted. I dug deeper and realized that the way we're raised impacts who we choose for relationships and what types of relationships we fall into. If your parents weren't emotionally available and were verbally abusive, for example, you are de-sensitized to being treated that way, so it feels normal when someone you are dating treats you badly. I used to think "exploring your past" was a waste of time, but your childhood impacts who you choose in relationships more than you may think.

I know someone who would date someone and then out of the blue change their phone number, wait a week just long enough to make the other person nervous, and then call them and be like " Oh, did you think I did that because of you? No!! I just get too many marketing calls, if I didnt want to talk to you I wouldnt be calling you! Of COURSE I want to talk to you!" But he had a pattern of doing this over and over. I dont know if a week is long enough to be considered ghosting, but it still falls in with that type of behavior. Like they need to control all the moving parts and suspending communication helps them do that.

"Their toxic birdie wings" is on point!! 💯 The last text I got from him, 9 days ago, said "have a nice day" to which I didn't respond. See, he was mad because I wouldn't give him "gas money" to come see me. I told him "either you want it or you don't. 🤷‍♀️(sex)" Then he called me a meanie and told me to have a nice day. I've now had 9 GREAT days!! 😊

Good breakdown on the video I liked that skit of how they respond to cause it just looked like me and my narcissistic ex like: "you know that i dissapear sometimes i want you back I really do miss you and you are the Love of my life, please lets mend it all but you still have to apologize to me!" I gave it 1 chance after a year of not communicating anddddd now were in no contact again. since the start of april we havnt been communicating the whole summer so i just wanna move away from that im staying strong and i begin to look more like myself then as 1 person being empathic and see his side instead of my own wellbeing and being treated like shit. But i really liked this breakdown on it aswell i even posted it on twitter, just to share how disgusting it is to do that kinda stuff to people in general. Its so disgusting and theyre liars absolute zero responsibilties in their lives or structure, or remorse and even blame you for it. so annoying Lee i just wanna live my life, living consiously of not taking that toxic person back into my life.

I understand. But, I'm not interested in making the narc a better partner for the next person. Nope. I have emotional and social needs that need to be met. I'm not over a person until I am. And usually, it takes a new person to help me let go of the previous person. I'm not emotionally tough-as-nails. And, I'm sick and tired of being 100% alone, alone, alone. (Just explaining why some people take narcs back, when they should let them go.) There's absolutely NO guarantee, that at my age, there will ever be another person in my life. But, thanks for your video. 💁🏼

People with autism have a hard time with communication and what seems like common sense to neureotypical persons. We struggle with sending an email. We're used to being misunderstood so we can agonize for days over an email. Rewriting it to try to remove any ambiguity. And STILL, sometimes the recipient will miss the entire point, latch on to one phrase and complain about it. If they're a narcissist it takes so MUCH energy trying to communicate with a person who is dedicated to deliberately twisting your words and misunderstanding, that it renders true communication impossible However if it's someone who gets you, its easy to write them because they won't deliberately try to misconstrue anything and they know you're not trying to be mean even if you accidentally put your foot in your mouth You can go decades without talking to someone and be happy to see them like you never skipped a beat

I dated a narc for 6 years. He.. ha! this man just went to jail and I went off on him. He hasn’t spoken to me since because I wasn’t there for him or felt bad for him. So he’s not speaking to me. It hurts to be ghosted but someone who I dated for that long and now silence. I think he just has a new supply. Which also makes me sad because I really loved this person. He use to be my friend before he was my boyfriend. Now the mask is off and all I see it a monster. It’s so heart breaking.

Can narcissism apply to those people I've only met online but not in person? I used to subscribe to another person's YT channel. He is a roller coaster enthusiast and also does travel vlogs. He is very charismatic and runs a great channel. He used to love many of the comments I made on his vlogs but all of a sudden, several months ago, starting ghosting me by not giving any of my comments a reaction, yet would love everyone else's posts on a given vlog. I suspect he's a narcissist who has found new supply.

What does it mean when you say that communication works both ways when both people are communicating? Is there really an obligation to force oneself to say something to the other person like it’s a power struggle? To me a 2 way road is when you can reach out whenever and they can reach out whenever. Both parties can reach out whenever. No ball is in anybody’s court unless you have already reached out to that person multiple times and they still haven’t replied, then the ball would be in their court.

@@ksref Yeah but what I’m getting at is that when you reach out to them I hate when they would be like “I haven’t heard from YOU in a while!!” that doesn’t seem really fair to say that when I haven’t even heard from them either. The phone indeed works both ways, and in this case, Dr. Ramani would say “No, you haven’t”.

Be happy? Tbh, anyone who ghosts me is usually blocked after a couple of days (obviously, this is not the case if they tell me BEFORE they are busy that they will be busy and they have a reason). If you can't communicate with me that you can't talk or whatever, there's no reason for me to talk to you again when you went ghost for a week, because I don't accept or excuse bad/poor communication, anymore. I've never heard a good excuse from someone who has ghosted yet, which is why I started blocking, lol. Like, the craziest one I've ever heard was from this guy who didn't reply to me for 10 days and when I asked him what happened, he said, "Oh, I fell asleep that night." So, you fell asleep that night and then you were asleep for the next 10 days straight? And he tells me no, but he was tired. I just didn't even respond, lol. No one is ever that tired or that busy that they can't say, "Hey, I'm just going to let you know I'll be busy for the next couple of days" or "Hey, I'm not feeling too good, so I'll text you back in a few days". It doesn't even take that much effort to do that.

My issue is he would be in the process of ghosting but within the first 24 hours I end up double texting and he would respond back instantaneously. Literally within the same minute and its like oh, I have his attention again aka "he cares" 😂 I tried ghosting him for 2 months but ended up coming back, then I asked him to just block me on everything, he said okay, but he did not.
