This brought back happy childhood memories as my mum had loads of different pelargoniums in the house and she was always doing cuttings from them. They say it's a good plant for a beginner to try. I like the smell of the leaves.

That's lovely Wendy. Do you have any yourself? They are one of the first plants that I grew inside as houseplants when I was growing up but I didn't grow the scented leaves ones until recent years when I was encouraged by the previous nursery manager of Arley Hall to try them. They are really good for the beginner too as you say. Xxxx

@@MadAboutGardening I only buy them as summer bedding plants. I've been lucky on a few occasions when they've come through the winter then in spring, I gave them a tidy up and they grew away saving me buying more that year. Didn't happen this year though as they rotted. I've been to the garden centre today and bought some Livingstone Daisies which were the first plants I ever grew from seed when I was about eight. I also got some Marigolds, Verbenas, Bidens and a Rose called Super Trouper which I've been looking for ever since I saw it on Nikkonch's channel. I was also on the lookout for Sweet Honey but the garden centre didn't have it today. Hope you've both been able to enjoy the nice weather today. Take care. xxx

@@wendybartlett6717 With all the rain we've had I'm not surprised they rotted Wendy. We haven't bothered with the bedding types since we discovered the scented leaved ones which I like to make tea with. Sounds like a successful garden centre trip with all those plants you bought. Andrew knows Super Trouper well as one of his friend's parents had it in their garden when he was growing up, which coincidentally is only a few doors up from us now. It's a good strong tall one. It's sometimes nice not to find all of what you're looking for in one go as it means you have an excuse to keep looking and enjoying many more visits to other garden centres! We've been visiting Wales again today as the forecast said today was the better day out of the two so not seen much of the garden apart from this morning. Hope you're enjoying the sunshine. Take care Wendy xxxx

Thanks for the video. All my life I have tried to grow zonals in terracotta pots and they never seem to grow big enough. I don't over water them and they get adequate sun etc. They always seemed stunted. I must be cursed. 😞

You're welcome, this variety (Concolor Lace) grows quite big and it's a struggle to contain it if anything! Have you tried giving them a little houseplant feed?

@@MadAboutGardening Yes I have given them plant fertiliser. I will try a better quality one. I usually use Doff.

@MG63 That brand should be fine. I don't know what else to suggest other than try some of the scented leaved ones and purchase as larger plants.

@@MadAboutGardening Yes I should try some other varieties and maybe have more luck. Thanks again for your time. Kind regards.
