Because I try to film my events, I also carry memory cards, flash drives, adapters for mics and phones, hand sanitizer now, notebook, highlighter, stickers, pins etc. So I’m still looking for the perfect bag. I use a mix track pro 3 which is too long for your backpack and it sucks. The new release one extends and such but I’m still on the fence

I know this is an older video but about DJing with earplugs: I DJ with molded earplugs. I can have them on..throw my cans on and still hear everything well. You can use different filters on them so you can customise your experience. No more ringing ears after gigs..also you can hear speech quite well and people can shout in your ear without any pain! Super comfortable and I'll be able to hear my wife when were older (minus to some hah).

I bring all my cords in a large duffel bag. Power cords for all speakers, extensions, xlrs, and 3-outlet extensions, DMX cables to run my lights as slaves to one sound active etc. I just keep everything nicely wound and velcro strap when I'm done winding them and throw them in! In the pockets are a bunch of different adapters so I can use many different things for backups like aux to micro usb-c, 1/4" to 1/4" aux, rca to xlr adapters, rca to 1/4" adapters. Various videographers oftentimes want to use my booth output to record sound for their video so I've got them covered!

I use an Arriba AS-90 Laptop/controller bag (approx $70 USD). Holds my SB2 backup and a 17" laptop. When travelling wo a controller, the space makes a great overnighter suitcase. Had the bag a few years now, some minor wear. A few things you can add to your list: battery tester and a USB gooseneck led light.

I always bring a lighter with me. I do a lot of Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and you would be surprised how often people start having a panic attack because they don't have a lighter for a candle lighting service. I also always bring a Belkin Rockstar iPhone adapter. If all else fails, I can use that adapter to play music and be able to charge my iPhone at the same time.

I use two Cablephyle bags, one for my important cables/accessories and the second for personal items. The bags each have 12 slots and several zippered compartments which provide easy access. My personal bag contains towels, wipes, toiletries, wallet, keys, sewing kit, mints, reading glasses, pens, Afrin, Tums, tissues, emergency kit, extra t-shirt, chapstick, cologne, cell charger and biz cards. My second bag holds mics, mic receiver, spare screws/nuts for my DJ table, RCA cables, my main XLR cables, iPad cable, power cords, headphone holder, flashlight, Swiss knife, screwdrivers, pliers, work gloves, various plug adapters, speaker pole clips, USB cables, headphones and gaff tape.

Love that bag!! Small one or the big one for weddings if I have the Toadbooth with a couple of drawers already???? Things I always have in the bag besides what you already carry 1)Bride kit (Tide stick, safety pins, tiny sewing kit, and tiny Kleenex) 2) Extra truss pin and clip 3) Thumb drive with enough music on it for a wedding and a copy of Virtual DJ (Serato in your case) 4) 3-6 small thumb drives that can be given away to anyone who has a need (slideshow, Xmas party video, etc) 5) Click lighter or two for candles (lending a hand for a stressed banquet captain always gets me a direct in with management 6)Giant secure ring (so they don't walk away) of every video converter and charging cord possible for business PowerPoints because Bob from accounting or the Sister of the Groom never have the right for the slideshow, sales video, or whatever the hell emergency they have (HDMI to VGA, iPhone to HDMI, Mini HDMI to HDMI, etc). Being the Hero and/or creating a SuperFan is always the goal for me.

Hey Nick, Hope you and your family are doing well. I would love to see a video of your DJ furniture and where you got it? I am in the process of trying to decide whether I want to do furniture like the Bunn Command Center or do some mods to my case to make my set up cleaner and faster. Keep it up buddy and stay safe.

Loving the video 😎 keep up the good work 👍👍👍 Some of the stuff I keep in my bag Screwdrivers - both types Fuses UK plugs have remmovable fuses which can blow, which leads me onto my battery, fuse, bulband battery tester, spanners, allen keys. It's very rare I need them but other vendors have come to me in the past asking whether I have these things. I keep painkillers and have had Brides and Mother-in-laws ask if I have anything for a headache. You can never have enough pens !!! 😜 Cables including RCA cables - just incase the XLR fail for whatever reason Spare Gravity Cable Clamps and velcro ties A couple of spare IEC power cables too. Haven't worked since March her in the UK, hopefully will be back at it by March next year.

Thanks for this video man. I've had an Odyssey backpack for some years now. Great bag, but like you said with the Jetpack Prime. Its Huge. but i like they layout of that Jetpack bag. I've gone back and forth about switching, think i will now. Both Jetpack bags would come in handy... As far as in the bag. I always keep a little 4 Port USB hub and a backup wired mic. That's saved me quite a few times.. And Altoids guy myself lol.

I could be wrong but I don’t think Tile works like that. My DJ bag was stolen last year and I was devastated so I looked into GPS options. Tile only works when your phone is nearby I believe because it uses Bluetooth. I don’t believe you can track it like a typical GPS transmitter. Your simplest bet would likely be to have a hidden spot for your iPad to chill (if you have an iPad with cellular) and just make sure you keep it charged. If you know something I don’t, please let me know
@NickSpinelli3 жыл бұрын
If your shit gets lost, it'll tell you the last spot you had it, and then you can mark it as stolen and it will pop up on other peoples tile apps that are nearby to help find it. iPad with cellular will work as a straight up tracker with the find my iphone app

These are honestly better for finding a lost item in your HOUSE and shouldn't be relied upon asa HARD GPS FINDER kind of thing...it will alert you if you leave stuff home which is nice ... But One major note on tiles "location" capabilities.... They only show you where when the item IS/WAS when YOUR PHONE was last CONNECTED to it..... So if somebody steals your bag (and tile inside it) and takes it away from your you'll only know WHERE it was taken from ....which is obviously your gig so THESE AREN'T as helpful for FINDING a their. The ONLY way it will work away from you is 1) If the thief HAS the tile app (OR is near somebody who HAS IT) AND 2) that device has the Bluetooth is turned ON....(tile calls this anonymous tracking)....which SOUNDS cool ...but the likelihood that whoever takes your item is the app or is near somebody WITH the app and their Bluetooth is turned on is slim to none.
