Pedals which I did and now my wheelbase 😉 even though I dont need it haha. Really the first thing you need for the best experience is a rig at least a small one. Even the gt lite pro would work it can even handle a 12nm wheelbase and any pedals you throw at it. Can fold it also. I used to use a chair with a nornal stand. I had no clue what i was missing out on. Once got a small rig changed my immersion, enjoyment and consistency. I got way faster. This was of course a long time ago lol.

1. Force feedback wheel 2. Rig 3. Loadcell brake Then do whatever you want but the rig unlocks everything. Find one on marketplace or make one.

Totally agree with this, and to just make the leap as early as you can would be my other tip. By that, I mean once you buy your first bundle (the Thrustmaster T300, Open Wheel rim, and T-LCM pedals in my case) and then start to feel like you're outgrowing it, do not look for settling for the next step up. This ties back to your point about not spending again and again and again and spending wisely. I would advised just making the leap to what will last you long term. In my case it was the Simagic Alpha Mini base, GT Neo wheel, and P1000 pedals. I was contemplating the Fanatec CSL DD 8nm of Thrustmaster T818 etc, but the more I researched the more convinced I becams I would outgrow them in a year or two or they wouldn;t last/satisfy my needs. Therefore, to save that wastage, once something like Black Friday hits, just make the leap to the best you can afford as a long term investment would be my advice!

As someone who is in the Process of Planning my Updates, i would say: Rig/Stand -> Pedals -> Base/Wheel -> (Monitor/TV) -> (Shifter -> (Handbrake)) -> (Monitor/TV) -> Rest

It isn't an investment but if you buy used, you can sell it again for almost no loss most of the time, especially when you snatch up a bundle and sell the parts you want to upgrade from.

Just upgraded from g25 and simple wheel stand to moza r5 and fgt lite in more than a decade. I think this will be the one and only upgrade I'm doing just to satisfy my curiosity for sim racing 😂

Pedals are overrated. Get a sturdy rig and you will be fast if you are taltented.
@maximravinet995022 сағат бұрын
They really aren't. The only case where they could be considered overrated is if your goal is to not learn any transferable skill regarding real life racing. If your setup is basically a "different type of controller" yeah sure, otherwise good pedals make a world of difference

@@maximravinet9950 not in my experience. Nice to have high end pedals but in the end they are just an input
@chair_smesh21 сағат бұрын
Cockpit, pedals, wheelbase in that order. I made a mistake of buying nice pedals for my cheap play seat challenge and it kept lifting up, making precision trail braking impossible
@maximravinet995021 сағат бұрын
@@mgerim not necessarily high end but stuff like fanatec csl elite v2, with a decent build and a some pressure required for the brake. It makes a heap of difference with the garbage you get in bundles with the g923, the t300rs or even the pair ping pong rackets moza sells with their R3 and R5
