I workout on average 4 to 5 days a week. I do a body builder's routine, high volume low rest between sets. I weigh between 190-205lbs with a 34 inch waist at 6ft. Before I started I.F. Question for Dr. Berg; When a man has sex, does [losing semen] cause depletion of HGH and Testosterone? Another words, does semen contain these hormones? Also, by restraining from sex, does it increase fat burning and metabolic system? Because many athletes are told not to let semen release from their body to maintain optimum performance. A video or answer would be appreciated. Thank you in advance! ..Ben

Andrea; Well my original question wasn't directly related to me, but it came up in a conversation I had with someone that I was trying to tell him to stay away from carbs and start fasting. Then he asked me what about sex during fasting... However, your point is well taken and I HAVE been researching this subject recently to abstain from sex and retain my semen. The benefits will blow your mind, and I did find that in semen there are growth hormone and testosterone that a person loses and so as many, many other important elements. I had made a vow as of last night that I will do it for the minimum of 6 months. Thank you for your comment.

What about fruits and veggies? I'm a raw vegan what do u recommend? Fat makes blocks the sugar from entering the cell creating insulin spike. If one eats the fruits without the fats there is no spike. So, would this be okay?
@jranf0017 жыл бұрын
fruits have alot of sugars too, the difference is that fruits have fructose and this is a different kind of sugar but it still spikes your insulin. So you can not fast while eating fruits because this would take you out of your fasted state. On the other hand black coffee or green tea is safe to drink in moderation and helps to overcome feelings of hunger in a fasted state. Your body begins to activate your fasted state somewhere after 16 hours of consuming no calories.
