Spend a typical school week with me preparing meals from scratch for my family of 7 (still eating for 2 over here!). Our weekday meals are usually pretty simple. Breakfast is some kind of meat and eggs, maybe with sourdough toast or a simple sourdough discard recipe like pancakes or dutch baby. On the other hand, our weekend breakfasts are kind of a big deal, and I go all out - which you've seen if you've watched any of my weekend meal videos. Lunches in winter are super simple, I make a big pot of soup on Monday and that's lunch for the week! As far as dinner goes, every Sunday evening I ask my husband if he has any requests for the week. He usually gives me a couple, I let the kids choose a meal or two, and then I fill in the gaps.

There is something so soothing to me about watching a mother Mother. I didn’t grow up with my mom but my grandma stepped in and did the best she could. Now I’m a mama and I want my mom more than ever lol. But I want to be the kinda mom I wish I had. Someone who was just there for us and not begrudgingly. I love the security of knowing Mom is somewhere around the house. I just think the world desperately needs moms, to fight the good fight and do the repetitive and the mundane..whatever your race your money situation your culture. If God blesses you with a family, serve them and love them well. It truly makes the world go around.

Gosh I just love your recipes! So last month when I started my sourdough I started making your sourdough discard pancakes and I will NEVER EVER go back to the regular old box pancakes! My whole family loved your Amish bread & yesterday I made your granola(I quadrupled the recipe too) & it's almost gone! This is one of the best what we eat in a week I've watch. Best believe the repetition of meals don't affect anything or anyone. My family has a tradition of eating Rice and peas and chicken every Sunday for over 30 plus years and I still look forward to it. Your fav is just your fav.

I made the dumplings a while ago after the last time you showed it in a video. I froze part of it so I can gave an easy and filling soup or stew when I need it. So easy! I really need to get 1 or 2 of those bread pans. Now I make it in an open top pan. It gives the beautiful round top, but that is not always easy to pack in a lunchpack.

Dear Lass, hello. I wish all young Mums all stayed home and raised their children. In my generation we stayed home raised our children, my husband worked, church during the week and in Sunday. I had only I boy, but I raised him. I wanted 10 children, I only got 1. I hope more women would stay home if they can and raise their children. The mayo trick is the best!! I want to say the mayo makes it taste sliiiightly more savory and the butter makes it taste a tiny bit more sweet, but it’s not actually sweet. Hard to explain😅

Love it, we cook SO similarly! Except I have to cook about triple 😂 We love sourdough discard pizza but I have to make at least 4 for a lunch meal lol. A pot of soup that size is one dinner. Teen boys eat a lot! 😅 Mayo is my favorite condiment too (homemade of course) and chipotle mayo is to die for.
