@carrolus1 yes singapore prison is very clean. Officers in there will make sure that inmates do not waste their time inside. The lazy and problematic ex-convicts will say the documentary is not what it is. Ignore their comments because there are quite a few condemn inmates. Some are foreigners too who are extremely condemned

Really enjoyed this series! As an educator, I think it is also useful for our young ones in primary & secondary schools to watch this series. Hopefully, it will deter them from embarking on unlawful paths. I will definitely let my toddler watch this series once he is older. Thank you so much for the hard work into this program! Appreciate much!

Absolutely. I also belive that mugshots of severe drug abusers taken during several years should be shown, like they do in the US. I really recommend that you search for it. The decline and rapid aging of these poor souls is truly shocking. If you check it up, please answer me and tell me what you think about doing it!

This. Of course, for the sake of society I guess we need to punish criminals. Might be nice, in a way, if we could move past such sentiments, but we are all humans, myself included. Also, obviously, we need to lock people up if they pose a danger to society. No way around that. But that being said, I never saw a point in treating inmates very badly.(not to say they should live in luxury either ofc) I mean the key thought really should be to reduce risk of them committing new crimes once they get out, and as such, even for purely pragmatic reasons they should be treated humanely... The better prepared they are and the more perspectives they have once they get out, the better for all of us. Cuz that guy who is in a cell now WILL be someone's neighbour further down the line.

Really love CNA's documentary and this series really takes the cake. The humanizing of the inmates, prison officers and prison environment really helped to put things into perspective, to show that people in the system are not just numbers or objects. Like all published media, i do wonder how much are not shown in the videos..are there situations or things that cannot be shown.

This would encourage and give a better understanding to young generations whom are interested/considering working for Changi Prison.

The very well documented candid scenes plus good camera work is very evident. The full cooperation and candidness of the inmate participants contributed a lot to highlighting the difficulties, struggles and pains they went through with their families. The prison staff also did well in doing their jobs. I like the detailed showing of rhe entire process leading to an inmate's eventual freedom and life beyond prison bars. It shows much hope. As a passive viewer, you eventually become an involved viewer and you eagerly follow each inmate's personal journey, empathizing with him all the way. Congratulations CNA for a well done documentary. Glad to know that a Filipina was at the helm of this fine work.

What made really surprise is that the prison in Singapore is very humane unlike in other countries. There, they educate and conduct psychological training for the inmates to change and learn to realize what they had done and how to be morally upright. This is a very heartwarming experience though just watching here but you can really feel the peaceful environment at the prison.

Hi im from Sarawak, Malaysia.I enjoyed the series of Inside Maximum Security in the Singapore Prison Service. In the year 2010 I visited a prison back in our state, Sarawak known as Borneo Heights Prison in the capital city of Sarawak, Kuching. At that time we're in a school visiting trip. The procedure compared to SPS also the same where visitors were not allowed to bring valueable and sharp items to the prison complex. Its hard to leave your phone at the entrance area due to safety reason but its neccesary to ensure we're safe. The inmates who we met during the visit were the most behaviourous one with no disciplinary problems. They shared their past criminal life and tell us the hell living in the prison cell.He said that living in a small room with a thin mattress, a pit toilet and only basic items had broke his past behaviour and made him a human again. The most scary thing that I saw in the prison although through the video is the execution chamber where people were sentenced to death, and the cane punishment, including the segregation cell where dangerous inmates were put in for some disciplinary offence.Love from Sarawak, Malaysia!!

The stories of the inmates are really very touching.. I hope the inmates who are released will continue to stay positive and do their level best to do good to themselves and to the society.. I also hope that continuous physiological support will be given to inmates after their reentry to the society,at least for another one year or so since it is always a challenging period for them to be reintegrated to the world outside.

Kudos to the producer, teammates and the Singapore Prison (The PR and Superintendent, inasmuch as Sgt.Muthan -Thumbs up!) for making this (real-life) documentary turned into a reality and a "heartwarming" testimonies from all these repented inmates = Hey, of course, they're still human, aren't they? One top of that, they have to be treated fair and square vis-à-vis the moment they've already returned into society, along with a granted "second" chance. Another round of immense of applause!!! 👏👍👍👏(Keep it coming, and please keeping the fire burns ya!!❤‍🔥🔥🔥) May God bless the organisation of "CNA Insider", your loved ones and having a blissful and fabulous of 2023, Amen~! 🙏🥰 ps. One of the most "emotional junctures" which made my tears rolled during the part.4/4 - this be far, would supersede the Oscar awards for coming many many decades, whereby Mr Ang Graceson was having a "limitation of 15mins duration" with her elder daughter: Daughter: "Hello" Dad: "How're you?" Daughter: "....Papa...." 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 (I would be weeping too, if I were the crew member during the video recording too) (Luke 15:11-32) Every living creatures on this planet Earth who deserves a second chance thru our God who had sent down his one and only begotten Son: Jesus, 2000yrs ago, who willingly to die on the cross in order to redeem our sins, insofar as, Mr Graceson, notwithstanding.
