My guess is some combination of 1) all gem currency drops from within DS are increased, 2) gem currency can be bought with whatever new Heroic currency is added, 3) gem currency drops from within the new Heroic dungeons themselves (kill all bosses for it to drop?), 4) spend valor for gem currency.

Just increase the epic gem drop chance from Motes of Darkness to at least 50%, and we're good.

as of right now i have 140 JC tokens, have 3 alts i do the daily on to sell the JC gems but the main im waiting for the epic patterns, figure we still have 2 months before DS, so i should be over 200 tokens by then

Back in OG cata these gems especially epic reds got duped to shit and guilds were bulk buying them from dupers

I'd just make the "basic" geode always contain an epic, just random what ye get, and the elementium one as is. Should be the simplest change and the easiest not to somehow break and have tigerseye or something dropping.

add in the jem upgrade system from transmuting that was in wotlk and data mind in original cata

They may change it like in wrath 20k honor for gems, conq, valor or justice points trade for gems etc.

Been doing jewelcrafting dailies on my alt since the second month of cata and I am no where close to getting all the current recipes. Apparently Dragon Soul is going to require even more :(

This is probably a result of LFR, might give them a reason to add it so people can get more gems.

i stopped playing/raiding after killing the Lich King, and I just temporarily resubbed to level 8 of my chars to 85 and now im just "raid-logging" my Jewelcrafter dailies, but it looks like unless things change- theres just no access to epic gems w/o raiding? oh well... just preppin for a potential comeback with Panda-land, and I suppose the gems will be worthless there anyway.
