Another tip, keep upgrading Atreus' arrows! He helps so much throughout the gameplay and makes fights/challenges more manageable with swarm of enemies. You don't know how many times he saved Kratos life🙌🏾

Quick tip: hard and annoying enemies like Revenants, Ice Reavers, Tatzelwurms and the werewolf-things (can't remember their name) are fairly easy to take out by using only your fists and Atreus' blue arrows. It stuns the hell outta them and gets you quickly to the red, R3-execution move. In any case, you should always use Atreus' attacks ALL THE TIME during fights. Makes things so much easier.

They're better for damage but the blue arrows are made to stun and that's what brings the red stun bar on an enemy up the quickest. When you're doing challenges in Muspelheim you'll see how effective the blue arrows are :)

I don't think I've ever once even tried taking out Nightmares with my axe. For some reason it just always seemed so obvious that Atreus was ideal for that task. So it came as a surprise to me to hear how much people hate Nightmares like they're one of the hardest enemies in the game, when they've never posed hardly any problem for me whatsoever.

After you kill the queen and get the axe pommel upgrade you can throw the axe in a straight line across the map. Also when you recall the axe with it equipped it will return on a path that hits every enemy in it's wake. It does it normally but with that legendary pommel it does it so much better and does much more dmg too

Tips i have Ogres- It may be instinctual to either take them down with the axe or focus on everything else first while avoiding them but no, have atreus fire arrrows while you punch him to make him a temporary mount to easily clear the room of other enemies.

*SPOILERS* Theres a grip that drops from the valkyrie queen that can nullify #2 on this list, it not only makes the R1 throw go in a completely straight line (never falls due to gravity), but it makes the recall actually SEEK OUT enemies to hit on the return trip. Still, as much as I love this new reboot - nothing compares to that feeling of when popping in thee original God of War for the PS2 from 2005 and watching that opening scene as Kratos casts himself from the highest peak in all of Greece, "The God's of Olympus have abandoned me . . . Now there is no hope." Narrator/Gia - "And Kratos cast himself from the highest mountain in all of Greece. After 10 years of suffering, 10 years of endless nightmares, it would finally come to and end. DEATH would be his escape from madness. . ." Absolutely, brilliant!!! Made my hairs stand on end, but in a beautiful, yet sad way. Kratos is my favorite video game character and so, it's endearingly strange to see him in a new kind of way. But he feels so much older and wiser in this new reboot than from his original saga.

Knew most of these, some aditional tips: -Use the eletric arrows when fighting against mutiple enemies or if there is enemies that throws projectiles -Use the "light"(Blue) arrows when fighting against Trolls, Ancients and those Werewolfes like creatures, it will give you the stun attack and take them out easily -Use Atreus special attack, with eletric arrows and runes that are area attacks, it will give you a huge advantage against many enemies -Use the heavy attack on the Travelers once their armor is gone -Valkyries has the same combat style but with gimmicks for each one, but what you have to do: Throw the axe on them when they hoove; if she slide to your right you dodge, if she slide to your left you block; if she use ter wings as a shield, use the execution heavy attack; if she says "Valhalla" wait a second and dodge, then attack her ; don't deflect their projectiles, some of them may jump on you while in the "throw back" animation; don't back step, it is easy to get hit -Use the execution or stun execution "invencibility frames" when overwhelmed, it gives you time to think or to use Atreus special attack or eletric arrows -When fighting against Travelers with shields on their backs, keep Atreus on their front and so he can attack them -Boulder throw is the best attack of the spartan rage, but drains the rage bar quickly -Punches alongside with Blue arrows are pretty effective against Trolls and others creatures, but Trolls in particular

If the Valkyrie is blocking, use the guard break. Executioner's cleave takes too long to charge up and when she drops her guard, it does a load of damage.

My only criticism for this is in Rota's case; whether she breaks right or left sometimes makes no difference, because if she retreats back right after moving in either direction, you'll have to block or her spin attack will one-shot you. You'll be able to tell whether you should dodge or block by whether the red flash appears or not as she's coming for you, and it takes a split second reaction to respond accordingly

Here's a big one I recently discovered: Opening Mystic Gateways fully recharges your health. You just have to walk up to one and press Circle. You don't have to actually use it, you can cancel out of it. By just walking up to one and pressing Circle your health gets fully recharged.

The rage talisman is the most op item in the game, and it's only a "common" item. The fact that you can regain health while in spartin rage and do massive damage at the same time causes this talisman to almost break the game. Just avoid damage long enough for it to cool down, activate it, kill and regain health, wash, rinse, repeat. A lot of people are tempted to use some of the more rare and fancier talismans, but I pretty much stuck with this little op nugget and it got me through give me god of war without much trouble at all.

If you *REALLY* want to feel op, master the Amulet of Kvasir. It has no cooldown so if you've mastered dodging, you'll quickly find yourself playing a Matrix simulator.

Currently playing GoW on PC, tip #3 reminded me you can lock onto targets. I've only got level 5 of my Blades of Chaos skills to still upgrade and I had forgotten I could target enemies. Only used it once.

The best armor isn’t in muspelheim nor niflheim it’s in midgård when you kill the valkyries in ng+ you get the zeus armor. Definitely the best armor out there but requires alot of skill to use
