If you are going to compare the “best” gas rigs for full time RVing I don’t see how you could miss reviewing the 7.3 in the F250. But for me the premise is wrong anyway. I am a full time RVer pulling a 16,500# high profile fifth wheel with my 7.3 F350 (yes 350 which makes more sense for full timers). Max tow is 20K# and my payload is 4,000#. This beast rules the show! I have been all over the eastern half of the US so far and I love my F350 7.3 gasser!

I would have compared the 7.3 in the f250.. but I had some misinformation at that moment on if it was available , if I was to do it again I'd definitely use the 7.3 over the 6.2. Not a Ford guy so my apologies to you ford folks for not using the 7.3.. however I did mention it in the f350 .. thanks for watching and commenting

@@RollinwiththeBolensNo worries. The crazy thing is that I am not a ford guy either. I grew up diehard Chevy. But I think GM wimped out with the 6.6. I REALLY wanted a bigger block gasser on this last generation. Probably would have changed the brand of my next heavy duty!

@@rahoboclan see guys I have been out of work for 2 1/2 years and can go back to work soon but what I can do is limited so I got my license and I'm going to start my own small business. I had a Dodge the frame rusted out so and I didn't like that they never honored the replacement dashboard so I'm done with Dodge I won't even consider Dodge. All the companies I've worked for in 20 years that they were always Ford fans and they've never left me in 20 years on the side of the road and they always ran high mileage but I took care of them and did the maintenance or took them to have the maintenance done I mean. I love the Chevys the look of them and the Interiors on them however my buddy has a Chevy he has a 1500 and I'm terrified because his transmission went I think it's a 15-speed or something like that it's a 2015 Chevy Silverado and the transmission went and when he took it to get it fixed it was five or six thousand dollars and he's the mechanic said that this is a common failure and it happens every 120,000 miles on these trucks or thereabouts so that made me think twice about Chevy and it seems in all the videos I watched the Fords just have Unstoppable power in there and their suspensions are really sturdy in the frames are not really sturdy so that's why I guess I'm a Ford guy but if Chevy didn't have the bad Transmissions I probably would lean towards Chevy because you could get them in my price range a lot easier I'm looking to spend about 20 to 25 thousand

new GM gassers are long rod long stroke motors direct injected. this means they literally feel like a diesel motor. they tow very well for 2500s

Def is the death of diesel peroid. Diesels were always more reliable but that ended expecially with the anti-delete laws.

I have a 2024 RAM 2500 Laramie with the 6.4 Hemi. My towing capacity is a lot higher than this video stated. Maybe 2022 was different?

Concerning someone buying a gasser tow pig and the Ford F250. A review w the 7.3 would have what your viewers are wanting. Clearly we would spend the extra $2,000 for the 7.3!

Let’s not forget you can add a supercharger/pro charger to your gas engine with a custom tune and increase your torque rating significantly.

Truck drivers know that torque is more important than HP when towns. HP matters but if you don’t have good torque numbers you’re not pulling very well.

All I got to say is in the oilfield we beat the shit out of our 6.2 from towing to driving it hard asf and the suspension shit just doesn’t break man

My question is which of the 3 has less (common) problems? I so wish toyota made 2500’s I’m done with Fiat vehicles . I’m getting rid of my money put Jeep Grand Cherokee I bought new 2015 and as soon as it 100k it began to fall apart. urrently have a Ram 2500 gas 6.4 and I’m fed up with it. Currently doesn’t shift with only 23k miles. Luckily still under warranty. As soon as they fix it I’m getting rid of it as well. Sadly all 3 have their issues and went away from quality but one has to be more reliable. With common issues that are not expensive to repair unlike my fiat jeep that there was no repair less then $1300. Spent 7k in a yr and a half. I know Ford has little issues that has to have the cabin removed making it a expensive repair. That the shit I’d like to know yo compare . Not the towing because I can have the highest tow rating gas 2500 but if it’s issue after issue and expensive after warranty, then I don’t want any of that even if it elotes 40k pounds.

I hear ya.. unfortunately no current vehicles on the market are really worth the money you pay for them, and every manufacturer has a number of issues with their products. Too many electronics in today's vehicles and they cause lots of problems no matter the manufacturer. Good luck finding the perfect vehicle. Thanks for watching and commenting

A buddy of mine had in a Chevy 1500 and he said after a hundred thousand they're complicated Transmissions break down every hundred and something Thousand Miles that's what's scaring me from getting a Chevy

My 2019 ram 2500 crew cab tradesman can tow 17800lbs. According to the dealer and my vin lookup on the ram website. not sure which model ram or trim package only tows 12k. Seems very low in comparison. Mine is a 6.4 gas hemi also

Well you can tow anything you like , as long as it's within the limits of your trucks ability.. meaning it's towing capacity! I don't believe I'd make it a everyday thing , if your hauling two cars assuming it's a enclosed trailer with 2 cars tools and gear!

I have a 2020 F250 with a 6.2 gas. Conventional towing is 12,500 pounds. But your point is well made, gasoline engines are more capable than ever before. 7.3 gas is available for F-250.

Cool deal.. im not a Ford guy , but they do make a good looking truck.. at the time of the video I couldn't find 100% clarification that the f250 had the 7.3 , but glad they offer it up in the f250 , gas trucks don't get as much credit as they should.

@@RollinwiththeBolens 100% agree. My previous truck had the 6.7 Power Stroke. It was a beast but generally, more truck than I needed most days. I enjoyed it but sold it before I got the big maintenance hit. Truck was very reliable & never had any issues when I sold it at 90K miles. The 6.2 Gas has worked well for me. No complaints. I wish it got better fuel mileage but I bought it to work it not commute across the country.

I currently have a 2002 bone stock 7.3 power stroke but looking for a newer to me rig with some updated interior crew cab. I’m on the fence with a 2010 V10 or 2015 ish 6.2 but my main concern is the power to take some of our 6% SoCal grades and maybe some future Utah grades

@@timm9114 I have a 22' equipment hauler trailer w / (2) 7K axles. The Ford is rated to tow 12,500# at the bumper. On a multiple occasions, I have hauled close to capacity with no trouble. I have hauled cars, tractors, construction equipment and steel on that trailer with the 6.2 gas. I have also towed a 27' travel trailer & all without issue. The 6.2 gas worked well for me & under the right circumstance, I would have no issue buying another one. I believe 2022 is the last model year for the 6.2. I recently traded in the F-250 only because the trade value was so high. I was unable to find a Ford equipped to my taste at a decent price. I ended up with a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.6 gas & 3.73 gears. Once I get a few more miles on it, I will tow similar loads with it. I think it will also do well.

Well if you wanna talk transmissions dodge has the worst , they shift like it's full of oatmeal, ford does ok.. but I wouldn't call better or worse than a Chevrolet.. chevys 6spd I wouldn't call it opposite!

That 10 is problematic for folk who put the miles in. I work in water meter replacement across 3 main states. I have 2 co-workers that each have newer than 2019 F-150 with 10 speed automatic and both uave had to be replaced with less than 100k. 1 truck i could see being an isolated case, but both trucks needing a complete trans replace tells a bad story. I can't speak for dodge,as nobody is using 1. The few chevy in the field have held up well. Just had a coworker in an 04 suburban (4l60e) that lasted til about 230k before going to that big rest area in the sky.

That was not my experience with the 6.2 Ford gas engine. I have towed up to 12,500 pounds (bumper pool) trailer with no issues.
