I'm white and my wife's black. We've been together for almost 10 years. We have two beautiful kids (6 and 3). We get looks from people all of time. She's told me before that she's gotten looks from black men like she's betraying her race. No one says anything but actions speak louder than words. Even in 2023 it's almost unacceptable for a black woman to be with a white guy and it baffles us.
@kamrinvarela501411 ай бұрын
I’m so sorry that happens to you guys… it’s sad that this world focuses on race and not their personalities, as the people said in this video, if you guys care for each other, and respect each other, that’s all that matters😊❤️
@SupernaturalLove10011 ай бұрын
Where are you guys from? I feel like the treatment varies depending on city/country. I’m sorry y’all have to deal with that, just know you are not alone and that your love is resistance against every form of weaponized ignorance in this world. Your love is what many of those miserable people lack in their own lives. Your wife didn’t and hasn’t betrayed ANYONE for finding JOY, especially since she belongs to herself and herself only. I’m hope your kids are beautiful. Keep each other centered. There is more love out there than hate 🙏🏾

I am very sorry that you experience this...and though it might not be the same situation as yours, I am an American gay man who is married to an Italian gay man and we live in Italy and we cannot walk hand in hand or show any PDAs, here..We went to Paris this past Christmas (2023) and it was so nice, after 10 years together and 8 married, to be able to be openly demonstrative. Nothing over the top but just holding hand as we walked through the Louvre was so, so refreshing. Italy, sadly, is quite behind the times, socially, and the odd thing here is that a couple of mixed race is not seen as odd or a "threat" to one color or the other, but 2 men? In the US, it is a but different as 2 men could walk down pretty much any street in any town (outside of the South) and no one would say anything but you and your wife....? Not so much and it is so terribly sad and unjust. When we are gone...in 100 years or less, there will be no more "3 races" but colors of all types and shades everywhere because many people are looking, as corny as it sounds, at the person and not the color or shade of a certain color. With hope, your children will not experience what you and your wife do. In the interim, we move forward setting the ground for those who come after. Also, we tend to remember those who disapprove..but for every person who disapproves, there are 2 that think nothing of it. We just don't see them, as they are just doing their own things as we, you, do yours. I wish you peace, sir. PS..sorry for writing so much.

The hairdressers were in on it and were told not to comment because it wouldn't have been true reactions. Don't you think that's a little odd that if it were scripted that not ONE hairdresser spoke up? That's because it wasn't acting from the public. I wish people would understand that when talking about slavery. The descendants of slaves have no idea what they actually went through. People these days seriously think they know what it’s like & bring it up as if all of their white peers are doing it.
@GayDracula_6 жыл бұрын
*I don't support the argument that slavery should be used to guilt trip people...but we cant act like slavery has NO impact on the people in america today.* Millions of us could be in Africa right now. Millions of us wouldn't be at the bottom of the economy because we're still trying to catch up to the people who aren't in the ghettos, or weren't born into suffering families. Millions of us wouldn't be fighting each other, being killed, and or killing in the streets just to survive. Millions of us would have families, whether or not those families were whole, they wouldn't be so broken. Millions of us wouldn't have to deal with the hate and bias portrayed in the media, or hate others. We wouldn't be bullied, we wouldn't have a divide just because someone has a different skin tone. All these things have been products of the economic and social divide brought down on us the second slavery started and ended. *So I in no way suggest we bully white people, because that's stupid. They as a whole aren't responsible. But I don't want to sit here, and allow people to think that slavery has nothing to do with how people are hurting and struggling to survive, and how we were brought here without a choice, and now that we're not enslaved, we're expected to fix what we NEVER chose to be.* Yeah not all white people enslaved us. Good job. Thank you. But you know what a lot of white people, *black people*, Asian, Indian, etc are doing? Ignoring the problem that DID HAPPEN, and refusing to help themselves and other people
@GayDracula_6 жыл бұрын
In all honesty, slavery has affected so many groups (not just in america) of all ethnic groups, and no one is doing anything about those groups who've been affected. Whether they're white or black. Everyone keeps brushing it off. It's an actual issue.

My cousin has a black boyfriend and we accepted him straight away. She used to be depressed constantly, but ever since she found him, she's happy and married to him

Yes! You don't date for the skin colour you date for love! And he wasn't a slave owner 🤔

Right like you’d think that would just be common sense, but ig that’s asking too much from people 🙄
@horse_stan60074 жыл бұрын
@Chandros Evans ok but your ancestors actions don't define you. Someone in the past benefited from something. That doesn't mean he likes it. He's probably against it. I fail to see your point Edit: also not everyones ancestors owned slaves. His might not have.
