I was exactly the same as phoebe, always doubting and second guessing everything, even worse with one of my previous instructors who was also making me feel less confident in myself. So glad i made the decision to change instructors who actually helped me with my confidence.

She's a good driver. More self belief please Phoebe. Dw, I'm still learning that too. I have my test on 7th June and I am absolutely terrified but feeling positive so my top tip for you and all learner drivers is to believe in yourselves cause your smarter than you think and you can achieve anything. A daft one but breath in through your nose and out through the mouth on your test when you get the chances. It should help to keep you calm. I was all for quitting mine 10 minutes before the return to the test centre due to a minor, but thought it was a fail. I passed.

Such a good lesson, this was me a few days ago. I knew what to look for but the actual doing of it as well as everything else and being overwhelmed by the task and thinking about what I did wrong at the last junction just lost my concentration and confidence. Glad I’m not alone in this journey . Felt like giving up and cried at lunchtime after 3 hrs in the car and the thought of another 3 hrs to go.

Phoebe is a great student. She is super confident. She is asking so many questions so that she learns. That only happens with a confident student. She will do well in everything she does. Always ask questions, Phoebe!

Confidence is key in lessons but especially in the driving test. If you are on edge and doubting your own ability, the examiner will be on edge and pick up on every little thing. If you are confident, it makes the examiner feel more comfortable

I struggled with roundabouts to start with! Always assess the situation before hand and make a decision when you reach it. Signal before you reach the exit as well!

Roundabouts were the most difficult part of learning to drive for me personally, I passed my test second time because my examiner took me on all country lanes with hardly any roundabouts, my first test that I failed was at a different test centre in the city with horrible roundabouts haha

Unless there is no road marking on the road only for left you can use 1st lane going straight a ahead which is 2nd exist ...

Great overall lesson, I think she needs t9 build a bit more confidence in herself. You can do this!! You’ve got the best instructor for it. Another thing, we’re all guilty for it, give your foot a break and rest on the footrest when not using the clutch instead of hovering. You are doing really well with your lessons though and you’re nearly there, just be careful not to indicate too early on roundabouts when exiting. It was thanks to your videos I passed my driving test in December first try. I love watching these and I’ve been driving 5 months.

I, personally, would have preferred to learn manoeuvres in both cars. I feel like there's more benefit to getting used to pointers in more than one car, so that it's less about pointers and more about feeling the car as an extension of your space. Deep stuff, but anyway that's just me haha. I totally get you.
