*6:32** lmao 🤣🤣🤣 My favorite part! It's funny how people make a big deal out of the welt lol 🤣🤣! I can't believe the previous cobbler used crazy glue and they didn't balance the boots. You did a great job saving these boots! They look amazing!*

I appreciate watching cobblers that know their $hit! This KZbin channel is the best marketing tool to show people you know what you are doing. I had the misfortune of having a cobbler mess up a pair of nice dress shoes several years ago. Since then, I have only needed to have 1 re-sole and it was done by Trenton & Heath (Potter & Sons). I just bought my first pair of Red Wings - 1907! When the time comes for a re-sole, Aaron at Revive Shoe Repair will be doing it!!

Wow nice work, they are transformed! Just a question. Do you ever do a channel for the stitches on the sole, wouldn't this make them last longer?
@JinsKookieJamsАй бұрын
*I'm sure it can be done if someone asks him to do it. Yes, a channel does indeed make the stitches last longer. Because when they don't have a channel, the stitches are exposed to the ground, and they are worn down over time more, than stitches that are inside a channel. Having them in a channel keeps them from being worn down quicker. Instead, the soles of the boots/boots would be worn down. If the soles are worn down enough, where the stitches eventually are on the same level of the soles (like in the video), a customer could have a resole if they wanted to at that point. That would also depend if much of the tread is gone, and what condition the boots/shoes are in.* *Also, I wanted to point something else out. For these boots in the videos, even when the stitches wear down, the customer will still have the nails and contact glue holding the soles and midsoles together. But yes, a channel is still good for saving the stitching for much longer 🙂!* *Anywho, hope this helps 😊!*

I live in Oakland, and I have to say every shoe repair place I've gone into around here so far has seemed really sketchy and I would expect the type of lousy repair you showed at the beginning of this video. I wish you were around here! You don't happen to know any good repair people in the SF Bay Area do you? PS: I've used acetone to remove super glue before on wood and it worked great.

Hey, I have a real challenge for you. I’ve got a pair of Speed Lace Combat boots from 1986 that have been worn for a long time. The leather is cracked out, it needs a new sole, and restitched. Do I just need to call you?
