I bought the exact same model used about 10 years ago (FM Model M-95 Hi-Power) I removed the magazine safety (It came with one installed from the factory) most of the internals with Cylinder& Slide Hi-Power equivalents. I absolutely LOVE shooting this pistol. A couple years ago, i had the slide milled to accept MK III Hi-Power sights and installed a set of MeproLite night sights. The only drawback I have with this handgun is the lack of a tactile/audible trigger reset. At a USPSA match, some guy made the comment that “It’s not bad for a Hi-Power knock-off.” I had to show him that it, indeed, said “HI-POWER” on the slide. (That’s something even the actual FN P-35’s don’t have!)

I bought the Girsan's MP35 match and it's beautiful. Swapped out the barrel with a Brownell's Hi-Power Black barrel which fits much tighter than Girsan's. All Black looks so sexy.

Just recently acquired the Girsan P.I. copy of the FM Detective model, very nice pistol, worst trigger pull of any gun I've ever owned, including 3 Hi Powers. I'm workin' on it.

Excellent condition of conservation of this Argentinian gun, I think you can´t obtain one FM High Power in this condition in Argentina. Good Care for it

FM products can be found at fine retailers all across Argentina! LoL Jk jk I've only ever seen three of them in the wild, all of them in pawn shops.. One of which I took home with me. Back in 2014 I saw the local pawn shop guy carry it out of the back room, noticed what he had in his hand and said "hey can I check that one out real quick?" Needless to say I told him "I'll take it!" before it ever even made it to the sale/display case. In my opinion the Argentines are second _only_ to the Belgians and are a true "clone". $260 (2014 prices mind you) out the door, and its the best shooting, most comfortable, naturally pointing piece I have, love it love it love it.

That front and back strap checkering or stippling is definitely something a previous owner had done to that gun, along with the sights, slide stop, and grips.

Magazine disconnects are incorporated when lawyers control what you can shoot. I don’t have a lawyer telling me what to shoot.

And modern guns especially imported ones get allowed into the country based on the number of safeties they have in place. The more safety items incorporated into the firearm the better the chances of the import being allowed

@@TheJimminiShow yep. I replaced my trigger on my xdm with a standard trigger. Luckily enough the XDs don’t come with magazine disconnects.

Well ACK-shu'ally (to be that guy) LoL the French Military was the one who insisted upon the mag-disconnect, size/dimensions, capacity, etc etc... and after JMB and DS catered to their wishes, meeting all of their specs and demands, they *spat* in his face and said "Naaahh, we're all set" and selected a _vastly_ different, and *inferior* design.
