So basically don't BJJ in a multiple attacker situation. I figured that much. But this is the best approach I have seen any BJJ on the topic. It's all about staying out of trouble if you can help it, move strategically and attack first with the mind set of escaping. Doesn't get more real than that. Eyes, throat, groin, kneecaps etc become acceptable targets if the opportunity arises. In a cage, victory is defeating your opponent, on the street, victory is coming home alive. Big difference.

Guys, I really like your vids because you rationally discuss real-world scenarios without resorting to “martial mysticism”. I wish more people could discuss these kinds of things without resorting to “my style the best” mentality.

Dean fights on such a full spectrum dominance level, even in the fog of combat, thinking seemingly several moves ahead on positioning locks, that his nickname should be Dean "Check Mate" Lister or Dean "OODA LOOP Assailant" Lister. What a delight to watch Dean conduct his mental and physical chess game on the octagon board. Bravo for the visual treats in this video, and the glimpse of a true professional at his craft. It's Dean's world when he enters the octagon and the opponents, though professionals themselves, often just look like pawns on the octagon game board.

@@richardlittle4248 that's great but most countries don't let civilians to carry firearms of any kind, that's a privilege that most of us don't have ... America, Brazil, Mexico and a few more maybe but most governments don't allow that ... Or you learn how to fight , having some knife with yourself or being a awesome runner that's what you have legally in most countries.. .
@luisphilipesilva5 жыл бұрын
Since most countries don't alow civilians to carry firearms. .. The best is to run faster than the others. .. parkur maybe ...lol The second choice is to know of to fight and being a good runner at the same time, to be able to create opportunity to fight one on one and run again, until you find a store with ppl that may help you or at least call the police, while you defend your self , moving around and create spaces to engage in one on one. .. very difficult I know .. but it's a way out the easier it's to run fast , no one goes after a guy that runs faster than him , just to beat him ... but you must be alert after that for ambushes, that's what they do to runners, the ambush the guy ...

When a guy broke into Dean Lister's house and tried to attack with a pipe, Dean pulled out a gun. Pulling a gun would be the best option with multiple attackers too. Don't be stupid and think you can fight a bunch of people. That or RUN.

BJJ can be useful for defending against more than one attacker. Its usefulness is with the hold escapes. If one attacker gets you in a headlock then you need to know how to escape so you can better deal the other attacker. BJJ teaches headlock escapes. Same for bear hugs and rear neck chokes.

The first thing you should do...is run. try to avoid the situation. if they outrun you, then you start at the beginning of this video.
@Slammy5554 жыл бұрын
I always say you should never lose a fight against someone you can outrun. Running also separates the group, it always seems to be 1-2 guys instigating a group decision to attack an individual and it's the ones that wants to fight who will keep up. With age I've also found that when the situation starts to try and find allies in the group and separate them. If the off guy sees you as sympathetic he might just allow you to fight his friend one on one. I also like to keep the big guys moving and chasing, wears them out.

Throat strike or eye poke the first guy while rotating then see if you can get away? Or while using “the fence” in a “I don’t want any trouble” hands up stance to rotate and get away/ rotate them in a line? Eddie Bravos 10th planet black belt who was a bouncer for years also talks one on one using “The thinkers statue pose” while also talking one on one with someone who may be belligerent to keep a calm pose/ also be ready for something

Let's forget the firearms because most ppl in the world don't have that option, only police, military and outlaws, if a good guy is catch by police with an illegal pistol, he is fucked and goes to jail and ruins is live ... most countries aren't America or south America, governments don't allow you to have firearms. .. So those who do , fine , but the majority don't have that luxury so let's discuss options like running or something else. ..

Fighting M.A. in real life is Nothing like in the movies. There really is a way to fight M.A. 5,6,7,8 attackers or more in real life and Win !! If one is fighting M.A. all at once there is No way they will not get behind you. You will be surrounded ,..you will be in the centre and you can walk though them all or go in and out and around them. Knocking them All out. One of the Last things you want to do when fighting M.A. is KICK. Because you Don't have Time to kick plus the fact you will be on one leg. You need both feet on the ground to Move. One more thing you should Never do when fighting M.A. is to get tided up with any attacker. Yes it really can be done and if you would like to learn how to defeat multiple attackers then please get in touch with me. I am in Vancouver BC. Thank you for your time.

Depends of the speed of the street fighter and even of the -so called 6 sense.if there is a fighter Warrior wich has the 6 sense then he can easly defeat even bruce lee becose the speed of bruce lee will not be useful.sure such a one punch Warrior is probably unique so the principles presented are logical and useful. When fighting against 2 or 3 or more atackers there is a very eficent method to defend and defeat them ,i used it in street fights and i can not see it presented on the internet.the martial art method i used has the roots in the most Ancient traditional chinese kung-fu wich this days even the modern chinese people seem not to understand it.

I'll even get you a nearby hotel room for you and your friend Pleasure speaking with you buddy. I removed the initial comment I listed that was negative, meant for the "knife attack scenario" video that I listed, can't find at the moment. I would definitely be interested in taking a trip to San Diego. I have off work until first week April. If you can fly me down and put me up in a Marriott. I'll start planning... I'd like to do a full review of your gym and training specific to law enforcement officers. Something I could bring back to my taking center.
