From on-track brawls and a driver punching a marshal to heated threats between competitors, the high-stakes world of Formula 1 can get incredibly intense. Emotions often run high, and sometimes drivers simply lose control.
I will explore six unforgettable incidents where drivers completely lost their cool, delving into the events that led up to these moments and highlighting just how fierce the world of F1 can be.
1998, Spa-Francorchamps: Michael Schumacher & David Coulthard
2021, Emilia Romagna, Imola: Valtteri Bottas & George Russell
2018, Interlagos: Max Verstappen & Esteban Ocon
1982, Hockenheim: Nelson Piquet & Eliseo Salazar
1977, Mosport: James Hunt punches marshall
2023, Qatar: Lance Stroll lost control

@@973Gear Thats normal, in F1 you have billionaires and millionaires sons competing in the best vehicles produced by men in an actual racetrack, they might be spoiled but they are all hihgly educated brats. In Nascar you have inbred hillbillys that go around in circles mushing their brains to one side while they sit in their pee. I would be a lot more mad too. 🤣🤣 And the best sport for fights is in Ice hockey wich was developed in Canada, so sit down.

IIRC it was 1987 during Mexico City Grand Prix's free practice, Ayrton Senna spins his car on what was known as the lake section. His car gets stuck on the grass. The Marshall´s approach him and signal him to turn the wheels to the right in order to get the car more into the grassy area and out of any danger. When they start pushing the car, Senna changes the steering to the left wanting to put the car back on track (the car was out of the Free Practice since it had been touched by the Marshalls). The Marshall once again requests Ayrton to set the steering wheel all to the right, Ayrton does so , but when they start pushing the car, he rotates the steering wheel full to the left to get the car back in track. This scene was repeated a third time. ON the fourth time, the marshall instructs Senna to set the wheels to the right, and when he does so, he gets his hand into the cockpit and holds the steering wheel in position while the car is pushed to a safer position. Once the car stops, Senna gets out of the car and punches the Marshall in the face, before walking back to the pits. Unfortunately It was not captured on video and there could be some stills but I have not seen them. I was on the grandstands just across the road.

Imagine if f1 had brawls like certain American sports or hockey! I think one reason they don’t have fights is probably bc there’s only 20 of them, so they don’t have that kind of anger, another reason is probably they’d get in bigger trouble bc unlike American sports f1 is kinda ‘posh’ so they’d get in more trouble for fighting. In baseball if you fight you get suspended a couple games, but there’s 162 games in a season so they still fight. That might be another reason, in f1 there isn’t enough races for them to risk missing one. Anybody else got reasons? Maybe they just never have a big enough reason to fight

Mere seconds later she was holding her hand over mouth, and stressing, regretting that what she had said had come true.
