Young people in Brazil don't just idolize footballers because of their skills. When young kids in Brazil grow up wanting to be footballers they also want the fame, the women, the food and the party lifestyle that goes with it. It's why so many Brazilian players fall into this lifestyle. They grow up with nothing and the see Romario or Ronaldo living a crazy playboy lifestyle and they want that almost as much as they want their skills.

@@RaymarFootballyou kind of undersold how much talent Milan built around Pato at the time, the likes of Robinho, Cassano , Prince Boateng and Ibrahimovic to name a few, saying “the club never looked to sign another star” is disingenuous. He was let go to Brazil in 2013, after El Shaarawy had blossomed and took his spot as the next wonderkid, that same year Balotelli and Kaka were signed as well. The real downfall of Milan was the ownership still being rooted in the 00’s while having no vision of the future, while Berlusconi’s family convinced him spending on the club was a waste of money. The only way milan could’ve got better was if he sold the club, and has seen in recent years it worked, back into being perennial ucl participants with a scudetto win in between , and general status as real title contenders for the league being back. The club is in the same place it was back in 2011, while turning in a positive turnover financially.
