Rachel Zegler seems to be facing more backlash than ever before since returning to interviews and social media following the actors strike, as many have called out the obvious change in her opinions regarding Disney and Snow White, as well as her change in overall personality, with many calling it the Rachel Zegler Snow White apology tour. But recently she shared a tweet once again complaining about actors pay, which I admit isn't as fair as it should be however this tweet is beyond ignorant given the fact that the actress is crying over only earning 2 million dollars, at a time when many are struggling to just stay afloat.

Denzel Washington summed it up perfectly when he said “People talk about the difficulty of making a movie and I’m like, send your son to Iraq, that’s difficult... Don’t get it twisted, it’s just a movie, It ain’t that big of a deal.”

It always annoys me when I hear people say they need a large income simply to pay the bills when the bills they have are completely self inflicted. They buy mansions. Designer clothes. Top of the range cars. Fancy holidays in far flung places. I have no sympathy. None. Saying two millions dollars (for six weeks work ffs) isn't enough to live on is mind boggling. Not enough to pay the bills ffs. Stop creating massive bills for yourself then. Think about those kids digging for lithium right now for 12 hrs a day for less than a dollar per week. The men down coal mines. Those who have to scrub floors and toilets just to eat. These "celebs" need to feck off with the self pitying bullcrap.

True - but the thing is though. This is what people are like now. Everywhere. Take any one of these posters in the comments; Shower them with praise as they grow up. Tell them they're special. Give them a special job where they make gobs of money - and they will all feel entitled to make more and say it's unfair that they're not. This is the animal we are.

Ordinary folk are at it too. They sell their souls too. Huge mortgages on big houses, that have to have an ensuite for every room. Huge finance on new cars. Credit cards. Fancy holidays. The newest top branded phones on contract. Branded clothes etc etc etc. Everyone has and is living well beyond their means and have to work until they die to pay for it all. One month out of work and they are in the gutter. And for what. Keeping up with the Jones. All for show. We have been consumed with greed and materialism. I have no sympathy. My sadness is for the real people, working like slaves and not getting paid. Or those who want to work and be self sufficient but can't.

Your comments are 💯 truth and facts. Most people are self centered. No perspective on the world. They would cry about not being paid enough while ignoring the people who can barely eat around them. But I mean I get it. If you never been outside the US or got educated about how people live in other countries how would you know. Plus the finance aspect you touched on is truly a problem. Why have the last Iphone when you can barely afford it? This is so mind-blowing. How is it that money handling saving and investing is not taught in school?

Seems like they're paying people to do everything they once had to do. Like choosing outfits, doing makeup and hair! For people who had nothing before acting like Taraji, suck it up! She went from living in a car to a $6.4 million dollar mansion! Same with Zegler and any others I hear crying about being rich! If they're that unhappy, maybe they could give their belongings away, and let others try living that life. Oh, wait... They wouldn't do that! If they're complaining about taxes, then that seems pretty capitalistic. It seems weird for someone aligned with leftist politics to say "No, but this is my money.". As for agents, PR and such, you have the option of not paying for that if you don't think you're getting value for money. A logic of I have to pay these leeches 30% makes sense IF you view yourself as purely self-made. If they got you the damn role, it's a different proposition. Ziegler has probably taken 10 years off her business managers and PR teams' lives ("SHE DID WHAT? WHAT?! WHY?! COULD SOMEONE DRAG HER AWAY FROM THE PRESS?").

Here's the thing: the actors who could legitimately complain about low pay (because they have to hustle to get a minor role every couple of weeks or months) aren't heard complaining, because nobody knows them. If a successful (and therefore well-paid) actor wants to complain, they should take a different tack: "I'm fortunate enough to have made it to the top, so I can't really complain for my own sake right now, but for every one in my league, there are a hundred less fortunate ones who are struggling to make ends meet, so let's make sure that they are taken care of as well." That might still be an unrealistic ask, but it would at least show that the person has both a sense of perspective and a sense of sympathy, and not just greed.

They have no idea what it’s like to have to wake up at 6am every single weekday (and sometimes weekends) and work out in the hot summer heat or the intense cold of Ohio winters. They have no idea what it’s like to be away from your family typically around 50/60 hours a week just to support said family. And I have it really good compared to some folk. They just truly are out of touch from what a typical hard working life is like.

@@MLTAKOS as an corporate attorney the best way I can explain millionaire spending is, they all CHOOSE a lifestyle. When its earned by honest hard work you will notice the life styles are day and night vs those who earned it on a whim. I have seen 70-150 million dollar assets clients who have a normal life like anyone who makes middle income. Then I see the entertainers who will have a 10th of that live their life like as if they were the people who had 150 million. Im not sure why many people assume the living and business expenses for an "actor" would somehow equate to all their money unless they are funding several families, drug habits or spending addictions. Not to mention the person of the video is 20 years old... meaning majority of her expenses will be absolutely childish by default if the complaint is money. People heard "we pay a team... " PR, business manager, agent, and an attorney". So the only way you end up going in the red for paying your team is if you a habitual f-up. So if we use the two women on this video as examples they are both nightmares in terms of being the worst to market due to their behavior. As a black man who watched every interview Taraji has done she is the basic hood chick who thinks things are owed to her by race and gender alone. While having countless domestic issues on set and in her personal life. So yes she has to pay her team a lot due to her own personal decisions and lack of awareness. Rachel zegler..... do i have to explain why she would have to over pay her lawyers, PR team, Agent and business manager??? or can i assume since you are here on the video about her f-up that her issue of income is self explanatory? Its a odd time we live in where adults have 99 excuses for other adults who have the same 24 hours as everyone with countless luxuries while many people work 100x harder than them and dont complain a single day... im sorry for my lack of empathy but I have seen people like her and its laughable when they complain because they create all their own money issues by their behaviors.

This has a lot to do with the entitlement mentality of entertainers. They believe they are 'owed' something by the studios and the audience. They certainly are not alone, as culturally we've enabled many in the younger generations to operate with that mindset. However, given their social platforms and visibility--and the fact that claiming 'victimhood' in any category provides a few extra notches up the ladder of virtue-signalling, it should come as no surprise to see Rachel Zegler and others like her take this position.

I would bet the reason they feel that way is that men make a lot more, which is honestly true in the industry. Of course, none of us regular people are going to pity them sheerly because they make so much money. The entertainment industry is insane, though they probably work more than almost any other profession I can think of. think 18 hour days like she said in one video. plus they feel the pressure to starve themselves to look skinny. and she is very talented so she does deserve to be paid well. I think it’s just hard for the average person to be able to relate to someone that is making so much and has such a different lifestyle

Very sound observations. One thing that is true is that the 'window of opportunity' for most women is limited to their twenties. Some can sneak into their thirties. And it drops as they age. The roles dry up. So it is incumbent upon them to earn as much as they can during their peak years. But in the end, it is the market that will ultimately determine salary. Look at the distinction between men and women in team sports. It may not be entirely equitably fair, but we aren't talking 'utopia' here. Pay must be determined by audience demand. Where Rachel and those like her get it wrong, is that their public persona must be absolutely endearing. There should be a 'selfless service' quality that people respect. They are truly blessed to earn as much as they do, even in a short window. If the audience learns to love them for who they are, such performers are going to be more popular and thus can command a higher salary. When they come across as 'entitled' it immediately distances the audience from them. And sadly, they are not self-aware enough to realize this.@@Poopoopeepee6969

Over the long run, the stock market grows an average of 7% per year. So if that actress took her $2 million post-tax income & put it in a well-diversified portfolio she would make $140k/year from market growth alone, without having to do any actual work. This is what I call "escape velocity" or "set for life" money, as long as one is content to have only an upper middle class lifestyle & not go nuts.

I barely make 46k net without all the taxes and other union cut taken out. With one million dollar, even in the canadian economy, I could buy a decent house, not too far from work, a car and probably still have plenty left overs to furnish that new small home and keep the rest saved up. I wouldn't pick top of the line stuff I'm too frugal anyway. That would mean that even without changing my job, I'd suddenly wouldn't have to cut it down in half for rent every year, which means more saving, more spending on quality food instead of worrying about having enough to pay the bills. It would mean serious money saving in the longterm for possibly getting back into school. On top of that it would mean I'd have something that gives me a return investment should I decide to move. Anyone could make their life start up if they had that money and some could even live off of it for years depending on how they manage it. But then you have people who make millions in a couple of months and they complain that life is hitting them hard. No buddy, your lifestyle is just too pricey.

We have very few actors that ‘We the people’ can relate with, if any, and it’s not based on finances. We relate to their morals and ethics and what they stand for, it’s almost a finishing move on their career when they start bitching about the few millions they make after taxes, it only makes them more un-relatable. Only 12% of the American people make over 200,000K (that’s including actors and KZbin personalities), maybe 36% make over 100,000 and most of us have to grind and work hard for that money that also gets taxed by the gov. But anyone that works hard and learns to invest in their quality of life, appreciates what they have and doesn’t live above their means, or go online to sound entitled they need more.

The problem is perspective and feeling like you are not getting what you are owed because so much of the money goes elsewhere. But to cry about only getting 2 millions dollars is a bit underwhelming to me and many many others. They should first acknowledge that they are making a lot of money, then make the point they are only getting to keep 20% of what they make, and I would think that most people could understand why this upsets them. If I only made 20% of what I make now living in a nice tent would be well out of my reach.
