Odd feud. It was all about the streets or something like that. Some people thought it was tasteless in light of the Johnny Devine stabbing. The feud though manage to make Carlito feel like a big deal. He was entertaining in and outside of the ring and Cena putting him over quickly showed that this guy is something. Also regarding the Bruiser Brody thing, for those of you that don't know about the entire story, please check it out, I clearly didn't do it justice in those few seconds. What did you think of this feud?

This storyline is very underrated in my opinion. The small details in the feud were great in relations to the gimmick Cena had at the time. Cena was pushed as a gangsta rapper, so they put him in a hip hop type beef. Carlito shows up, tells Cena he's not a gangsta basically, spits in his face, knocks out the "Doctor of Thuganomics" and takes his title first try. the most disrespectful part not many cared about was Carlito took his chain and walked around with it on. WWE took rap beef scenerios that actually happened, Ice Cube got knocked out and his chain taken in the mid 90's and 50 Cent was stabbed in a studio fight around 03-04, and recreated them in a wrestling setting. Cena always had the "brawler, blue chipper street guy" thing to his benefit so to see his tactics be used against him made for a great feud.

That was a weird storyline considering Cena was off television because WWE wanted Cena to become the next big Hollywood star after The Rock doing big business as a major star so Cena was filming “The Marine” before the film came out 2 years later in 2006. So yeah, Cena wasn’t stabbed, it’s all because WWE just doesn’t understand what kayfabe means. And Jesus was Carlito’s bodyguard? I wonder how many former WWE superstars sucked as bodyguards. Like Mr. Hughes as Chris Jericho’s bodyguard during his 1999 run in the Attitude Era. Nobody cared and Hughes was soon released from the company.
