Hii! Hope you're all doing well and staying safe! Just to reiterate the topic covered for this video (and if you need a TL;DR version), here are some of the points for whenever your skin is going through a crisis: 1. After cleansing, start off with a self-check skin assessment. Take a couple minutes to observe your skin (does it look healthy or dull? Are there blemishes, redness, or dry patches?) and feel for texture (does your skin feel bumpy and rough, painful, itchy or tight?) By giving yourself a check-in, you can narrow down on the products you can use for that day to help. 2. If you have/felt some texture on your skin, try a wash off chemical exfoliant mask (1x a week). The texture is most likely a sign of excess dead skin cells accumulating on the surface of your skin. When there's excess accumulation, you can experience higher chances of dull skin, clogged pores, increased sebum production, acne. Not to mention your products not absorbing properly! For this, you can opt for a wash off mask formulated at stronger percentages of AHA/BHA (~10-20%) or a daily exfoliant toner (~2-5%) if you have more sensitive skin. 3. Hydration is key (toner + serum): After washing off your exfoliant mask or using a leave-on product, you can focus on hydrating your skin for the next steps. Using toners and/or serums can help replenish the lost hydration back into your skin. Also, keep in mind that hydration levels can impact your skin barrier's health (which can in turn help prevent most skin concerns we face like hyperpigmentation, dryness, dehydration, and acne), so you can feel free to layer on hydrating toners/serums for this step! (You can be like Ro and pat on three layers of the same toner haha!) 4. Seal in all that goodness (moisturizer): Finally, you'd want to seal all that moisture into your skin with an amazing cream. See what kind of cream your skin is craving at the moment - does it need a lightweight and breathable moisturizer or a blanket-like thicker cream? Go by how your skin feels and needs! (And yes - oily skin types can also benefit from thick moisturizers too!) 5. And as always, don't forget to apply sunscreen in the mornings to protect your skin! And a parting note, remember to be patient and allow your skin to work its magic over the next couple weeks! 😉 That's it! Hope this helps you and your skin! 💕

I have literally been crying every night because for some odd reason my skin has been breaking out like crazy (I generally never get any pimples) and no matter what I do, I feel like my skin just gets worst. Pimple after pimple every day and these are not tiny ones that can be covered, they're huge looking nipples that makes me feel super insecure. Love the effort and time you put into these videos!!

Loved this very much!! When my skin goes a little bit wonky, I would take a step back and lay off all the toner,serums and actives and just slap on some good ol moisturiser for 2 nights and get it back on track. I find that striping your routine down to the most basic at times helps your skin to recalibrate itself. Then I would start back on my gentle exfoliating toner (mandelic acid). Thanks fel for the exfoliating masking tip!

My SOS reset skin routine when I’m breaking out now is using 3 steps at night and 4 steps daytime. For day time I use peach and lily hydrating gel cleanser, youth to the people Kale air whip cream, and Sonrei Clearly Zinq 60 sunscreen or Super goop glow screen. At night I use peach slices salicylic acid cleanser, peach slices snail mucin wash off mask (twice a week absolutely LOVE this product and unique texture alert!), Abib hydration gel, and Urang brightening blue oil 😍

thank you for this. it makes me happy to see your videos. I have been using a terrible vitamin c serum for about 3 months, I realised 2 weeks ago than it's actually damaging my skin, before I used other vitamic c serum and that one was good. now my skin is a disaster, my pores seems huge and some areas of my skin a reddish and inflamed. 3 months ago my skin was way better.
@zenyalore343

Even if we haven't done extreme skin challenges I believe that a reset is always a good thing. I enjoy trying new products and sometimes I get a little carried away with what I use in a day. This can lead to some strange occurrences with my oily/combo skin. Toning is my favorite step as well. When I am feeling like my skin is in the danger zone I will do 2 separate toners, a serum that is hydrating, eye cream, and then a gel moisturizer. If it is really bad I'll add in a sheet mask as well to really lock in the moisture.

Something that helps me with breakouts are benzoyl peroxide face masks. What I do is use the PanOxyl 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash and leave it on my skin for about 2-3 minutes. It’s just as effective as using a leave on bp products, but not quite as irritating. It helps me out so much!!! It’s still drying though, so it’s good to moisturize really well afterwards. Shoutout to Dr. Dray!

I was so sad when you guys were challenged to go without skincare! I knew what might happen and it can take a while to get back to where you feel comfortable again. A lot of times on threads and in comment sections I see some people mentioning that sometimes they give their skin a break from all soaps, creams, ect. They actually say soap. And I cringe because look at what happens when you don’t take care of yourself 💁🏼‍♀️ I noticed someone on a comment section about a wax said something along the lines of “so sad, what women feel they need to do for beauty 😔” and I was kind of appalled because, why do people feel it’s all for vanity?? What about being comfortable?? When my skin is healthy and also sunscreened I’m most comfortable. When I take care of myself I am so comfortable. The “it’s only vanity“ claim is the weirdest reaction to me.

You guys are so great! I need neck help. I have been trying to introduce my neck to retinol. I started with adapelene because it’s pretty gentle. That has been good 👍🏼. Last week, I moved to the Maelove Stargaze Retinol. I used it once. My neck is very angry! I had planned to introduce it by using it only once per week but should I give up based on the one use reaction? Thank you!!
@BeautyWithin
@BeautyWithin 2 жыл бұрын
Hii! Just took a look at the Maelove Retinol and noticed it's at a slightly higher percentage than the adapalene! It could be possible that your neck might need some time to adjust! I'd suggest applying a thick moisturizer until it calms down before reintroducing the retinol again. When you do, you can buffer out the potent effects by first applying your moisturizer then your retinol product. Hope this helps! 😁

Sorry if you've done this before, but I'd love for you guys to do a only DIY skincare for a week challenge!😍 My skincare routine is a mix of products and DIY so it'd be so cool to see a full one! E.g. making your own oil blend for oil cleanser (would have to be wiped off with a cloth for sure!) Washing the face in the morning with honey or using masks such as pure honey masks, oats mask (i blend oats into a flour and mix with either warm water or warm milk to get the oat juices out) Clay masks straight from a blend of different clays Toners from either ricewater or green tea Facial oils using a blend of light oils or Diy moisturiser! E.g. including shea butter Getting enzymatic exfoliation from fruit masks or greek yoghurt masks, or even willow bark! 🙈 Would be so interesting!! Because you'd still be able to treat your skin, but it would just be more challenging effort than you're used to and it'll take a bit of patience! I wouldn't mind helping out with the idea :)

Fel, I’m shocked you love the haru haru so much! I was quite disappointed with the ingredient list, and felt it was barely hydrating >.

Can anyone recommend a good SOS lineup for my hormonal, dry, sensitive skin? I went to Florida, used SPF 70 but exposed my face to saltwater, chlorinated pool water, and pollution. My skin is bumpy, pimples on my chin, pores clogged, basically... Icky skin! Please help me. I probably have most things on hand but I tend to overdo it and then it pills 🤢 SOS!

My skin isn't dry, but I'm sensitive. Whenever my skin were acting up, I just slather my face with La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume. It works well on me, even though the sole purpose of that product is for eczema. You should check their other product. Their Cicaplast Balm is wonderful too. Most of their product are actually for sensitive skin

Hi there! So sorry to hear your skin isn't doing well for you! Since chlorinated and salt water can dry out the skin even more, I'd definitely suggest doubling down on hydrating your skin with toners and serums before slathering on your Lipikar Baume (great choice for trapping in moisture!). You can even start right after you cleanse your face by leaving it slightly damp and using that time to apply your toners and serums. I wouldn't suggest using an exfoliating product at this time because hydration seems to be a priority. But once your skin feels more hydrated, you can try mandelic acid or lactic acid later on. So SOS lineup can look something like this: Cleanser (Something like the Sioris Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser or The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser) Toner (The First Aid Beauty Wild Oat Toner or any of the toners mentioned by Fel in this video) Moisturizer: your Lipikar baume Sunscreen: Don't forget! Hope this makes sense! Wishing you and your skin a full recovery! 💕

I feel uncomfortable about how this video promote toxic chemical products. Beautiful skin should not be at the price of poisoning our planet.

I really love your channel and enjoy your videos but i think that you two are just really trying to hard to be funny and that comes out like fake... In my opinion if you just tone down the fake silliness and craziness, the channel will be more enjoyable and real. No disrespect whatsoever.

When nothing else works You go to a good dermatologist and try to treat Your skin according to doctor, not a KZbinr. You girls have no knowledge about serious skin concerns. If You have acne, like You, try a dermatological treatment for some long months, take so time from so many products that make your skin get worse. I wonder if You ever have been to a dermatologist. You might have had clear skin by now. Adapelne, azelaic acid, tretinoin and many other actives works better, try just a sunscreen beside and You might be good. Sometimes just the treatment and spf makes miracles. For a lot less 💸. Tired of influencers who just showing all the time skincare and have no clue what the skin needs
