Unfortunately, his Snatch (161 kg) in the M-81 class didn't improve significantly earlier this year, while his C&J (209 kg) was very good last year. Hopefully, Rahmat will compete in the M-73 class at the 2024 IWF WWC Manama this December. If Rahmat competes in the M-81 class, hopefully he can raise his Snatch to 166-167 kg and his C&J to 210-211 kg.

More precisely as a Junior at 17 years and 214 days. Karlos and Li Dayin should go down to M-81 class to prove who is the best in M-81 class.

The 81KG category at worlds this year is going to be good IMO. Since it isn't an Olympic category it doesn't suffer from all the best lifters (who went yo the Olympics) skipping out. Rahmat is in the B session. Ri Chong Song will definitely attempt a world record. Alexey Churkin of Kazakhstan put in a 370KG total (has definitely done it in training we will see if he gets close). The reigning world champ Oscar Reyes Martinez is there. Junior World Champ Kwan Daehee could attempt to clean and jerk in the high 200's and his teammate Son Hyunho as well. Both attempted 205 at Korean nationals.

I didn't get any information on whether Rahmat will compete in the M-81 class this December. Rizki with a BW of 81 kg was able to do 160 kg Snatch and 200 kg C&J with moderate effort in his first appearance after Paris24 at the National Sports Week last September. I believe with maximum effort Rizki will able to increase his Snatch to 170 kg and his C&J to 209 kg. Let's see if Ri Chong-song will do his best (Snatch: 169 kg; C&J: 209 kg). There will definitely be surprises from Rizki, Ri Chong-song, Rahmat and Kwon Dae-hee.

I can’t wait to see Rahmat lift at worlds. I hope he is a full 81. I know 215 will go if he is. He managed to clean 214 at about 76 kg bodyweight with the slowest pull from floor I’ve ever seen so 215 is doable. One thing I noticed is he waited till the last 5 seconds on clock before pulling this lift contrasting with the time debacle he had in Phuket when Rizki beat him. Of course he was focused here whereas he was in never never land after his 2nd attempt in Phuket.

It depends, if Rahmat can't improve his Snatch to 162-163 kg then Rizki becomes the best at M-73. Rizki with his gold medal and world record total at the World Cup and Olympic gold medal has proven that.

Don't think negatively, everyone knows that Karlos is untouchable at M-89 but we haven't seen him at M-81 as a Senior. Comparing a weightlifter when he is in a different classes is necessary. Ri Chong-song when at M-73 was just an average weightlifter but after he moved to M-81, he became a world-class weightlifter. Ri's personal best (Snatch: 169 kg, C&J: 209 kg), if we look at it, his C&J is the same as the world record held by Rahmat Erwin and when we add up his Snatch and C&J it is the same as the world record total held by Lyu Xiaojun.
