No one in France says so. We say : ze dokteur kolor'd your pill (final 's' often dropped because final "s" is always silent in French).

I once taught the children of a francophone family English as a home tutor. One day he was reading and got to "warned" then he said "wahr-ned" after trying for a few seconds to pronounce the word. I laughed out loud.

@@bretagnejean2410 It was the way he said whole word including the 'ed'. I'm anglophone but I do speak French too. The 'ed' issue isn't so difficult to overcome. Just try to listen to/watch programs in English or try to study the subject and you should be good to go! We all struggle with something in learning languages other than ours. Good luck!

Gold! This reminds me of my Iraqi Kurdish friend that pronounces things like Eatable as Eat-ABLE, so it sounds like: Eat table. He always stresses the ABLE part more, so some words just sound very wrong.

It just feels wrong and like violent noise to me instead of cute and quirky uniqueness (which isn't even unique if your whole country has the same accent LOL). I find all accents unattractive and that's why I try to get rid of mine, too...

It depends on the accent, I think. Personally, I can't handle the french accent when I hear my friends talking in english (and I'm French as well), it's just horrible, but when I hear an english-speaking talking french, I wouldn't say it's “beautiful” but it's funny and cute

As french, i found that very funny because that's how most of french people speak english, ans they're lazy or shy to pronounce it correctly. (Sometimes, they're so used to speak english like this, that they'll not understand if you don't speak with a shitty accent)

When I traveled to France many many years ago, I learned some phrases from a book. So I couldn't hear the real pronunciation, just the phonetic spelling. I can only imagine how bad my accent was. 🤣
