not wrong during the lower parts, there is a lot of focus on half steps from the root, which creates a spooky kind of vibe. There is a lot of that in both jazz and metal, the feel of any key is determined by where the half steps are in relation to the root, When he goes low, it's very Phrygian feeling, which already sets a bit of an unsettling vibe if you lean into that half step above the root note :)

Yeah I'm gonna need about two or three albums of this whenever you're ready, Charles. Anytime's good; don't rush it...just yeah. More.

Dude I am just going thank you putting out such a tastefully rhythmical and melodic led piece. Enjoyed you jumping in and out of the 'check out what I can do elements' and going back into the 'holding it down places' to keep it a rounded piece of music. More times than not when I personally turn to watch a slap video I might as well be in an old fashioned 1950's typing Hall with all clickedy click and ghost noting going on when all you want is to hear the bass sound and gear being used in way that you as a fellow low ender can relate to as real world playing, if you practice as hard as you must do. Peace out man.

Honestly you have been an extremely skilled bassist from the moment i started following your channel (about 2 years ago)and i have to say that the melodic arrangements have been steadily progressing and this is by far your best sounding piece. Feels like Polyphia gave you some inspiration ;)

Aside from that gorgeous bass guitar…. This was, again, a terrific bass solo. You keep coming up with the most elaborate intricate solo’s. It’s amazing! Thnx Charles!

Charles, what is that "one" lick that you have to keep yourself from doing? I know when I'm playing my guitar, I always catch myself doing familiar licks unintentionally as they have become natural to do.
