As a Brit who train knife survival on a weekly basis, the reality of knife attacks, how dangerous they actually are... I was refreshing to see the American way of dealing with it.

that idiot fake off duty should have just rolled out in the first place. He leveled up the situation at every step and if he had been in a state where more people carry that genuinely could have developed into a full on gun fight. Then again in constitutional carry states, it's likely he wouldn't have tried that in the first place

Reminds me of a Woody Allen movie “Take the Money and Run, where he presented a note to bank tellers with a note saying “I have a gun…”. Because of child-like printing, the note appeared to say “I have a gub”causing bank personnel and even a guard insist the note said “gub”, and so they refused to give up money…

They guy with the gun may, rightly, have a legal issue unless he can prove the other guy pulled a knife and he couldn't just drive away. If you have a conceal carry or you're open carry, you can't antagonize by flipping the bird, wait for the reaction, and then advance on someone because of that reaction. It looks like a setup even if it isn't. He wasn't being immediately threatened or he would have shot the women in self defense.

@Matto_HarvoАй бұрын
@@apokatastasian2831 ok. Choose. Would you like to have a knife pointed at you from 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, or a pistol at the same distances? A knife requires some strength to push it in. A pistols “strength” relies on it’s bullet. Get real my friend
@apokatastasian2831Ай бұрын
its not that different, both of them can do greivous injury to you very quickly. and a gun requires some skill to be able to use effectively. it's more difficult than you think to make shots. especially if someone is cutting you. I actually train combatives sometimes with my jujitsu guys and it's shockingly difficult to keep someone killing you with a knife. like next to impossible, because it isnt that hard. modern soldiers all still carry knives...the gun didnt replace them. theres a reason for that. and it's also much harder to take a knife then it is to take a gun, because you can't grab it without permanently losing your ability to grab anything. once your hands are damaged you're done. period a gun is only dangerous in one specific direction, and it needs to be able to cycle it's action or it only has one shot, before it requires both hands to fix. and if your hands are messing with a gun, someone can beat you up rather effectively. longer guns are even easier to grab and get inside of. again thats why the military trains you to hit or jab with it. because it's more useful as a club at grappling range. i take your point, that a bullet does alot of damage to a vital area if it hits you, but i'm guessing you don't have alot of practical hands on experience with either objects. you should. get a friend to take you to the range. get a plastic training knife and tussle. you'll learn alot in an hour about how dire both scenarios are. common wisdom is inside 10 foot you charge a gun and run from a knife. with a gun you have a better chance of grappling it then being 10-20ft away. that said if someone is drawn and aimed at you determined, and ready to rock inside 10ft with either object you need a miracle... and thats my point, both of them are lethal and one doesnt make you more dead. knives are MUCH more lethal than ar15's in america by the stats. this isn't intuitive to most people. and last legally speaking there's no difference. if someone is threatening you with either object, that should put you in fear for your life and lethal force is justified. if someone is trying to stab you, shooting them is a legitimate response. the idea that you need to do a john wick disarm, because "it's only a knife" is absolute foolishness.

@@apokatastasian2831 Why do cops etc carry pistols rather than knives? Stop this nonsense bro. Someone who’s untrained in combat will pop a cap in your combat trained arse from ten metres before you could even say: “knife”. Stop this nonsense.

@ Matto_Harvo Active Self Protection has videos of cops armed with guns getting stabbed in spite of having their guns. 🤷♀️ I remember one particular video, the cop armed with a gun died a rather gruesome and terrifying death after getting stabbed in the throat because guns aren’t the magical final move that you seem to think they are. Of course, if you are ever confronted with a knife, you are free to react or respond in whatever way you wish. But I do hope you don’t think you’re magically protected just because you have a gun. I’ve seen plenty of video of people taking several rounds from a gun and keep going like they didn’t even notice it. Your ego is not your amigo, even when it’s backed up with a gun. Maybe especially when backed up with a gun.
