This is literally what happens. You tell your friend to watch anime, once their done they're a full on weeb. That happened to me. I hated anime. Then my friends kept telling me to watch it so I watched my hero academia. That was octobor of 2020. Now, on the 13th of the 4th 2021, I have completed (In order) my hero academia, death note, Jojo's bizarre adventure, One Punch Man, The Promised Neverland, Attack on titan and I'm still watching One Piece and Sword Art Online.

I always feel so old and lonely because even though anime has become pretty widespread and common to the point that my 13 y.o. niece and 15 y.o. brother watch it but no one ever knows the really old stuff. I stumbled onto anime when I was like 4 or 5, back when Sailor Moon came on tv in the morning and Inuyasha was on during weeknights. Blockbuster was still around so I watched a lot of old gems, though now in retrospect, also inappropriate for my age at the time.
