I know I was laughing at that too. I really don't think a 10-year-old should be doing much for "strength training." They'd benefit a lot from doing bodyweight squats, suicides, pushups and lots of running. If they're wanting to do BJJ, running probably is the best thing for them. And, of course, eating big too.

I injured myself doing BJJ in 2018; complete fluke accident where I jacked my knee up. I've since had 5 surgeries , the most recent in December of last year, and it's still boned. I've tried everything from PT in person, Knees over toes guy...all of it.. and my knee is completely jacked to the point I can't even squat anymore. My first love was strength training and I legit can't anymore. Wish I had never done BJJ

@@BlackManBlackDog Nope, because I had my first surgery in 2018. He didn't even really start posting YT videos until 2021. I had 3 surgeries before I even found out about him. I've texted with Ben directly and he was my first coach before he had an app or anything. It works and makes my knees feel good but I can't progress past certain parts because my knee sucks

It’s funny how some muscle tears end up. In mid February I tore my right bicep (just the muscle, but not off the bone.) Now from the outside it looks kind of lumpy and a little different, but a front single shows a peak that I don’t know if I would have developed otherwise. Just wanted to share a weird occurrence. Hope everyone has a great weekend

The answer to the question initially was so bad just so awful.. his initial advice was don't get too pumped up during your training so you don't get angry and injure someone or yourself???? That is the most common sense answer I have ever heard- leave your ego at the door, don't even go over 50% it's not like you're getting paid you're just there to learn/train anyways, it's so absolutely silly to answer the question with " I think the best thing young jiu jitsu fighters can do to build grip strength, forearm strength, core strength, is safety first🥇"

@jd91192 ай бұрын
Getting training partners is pretty easy. When you're at the gym and somebody asks you how many sets you have left, introduce yourself and invite him to work in with you. Do that enough times and eventually, you'll have a lot of training partners/gym friends. And it's better if your training partners are better at training than you. It pushes you to be better.
